In 2001 Bromley joined Demigodz a local rap collective that included Celph Titled, 7L & Esoteric, EL Fudge, Louis Logic and others. Bromley made his album debut when he appeared on the Jedi Mind Tricks album The Psycho Social in 1997. He featured on the tracks "The Three Immortals", "Omnicron" and "The Apostle's Creed". By mid-1997, the Demigodz collective fractured and Apathy together with producer Open Mic self-released the Sureshot Affair EP in 1998. He continued to collaborate under the Demigodz moniker and released The Godz Must Be Crazy EP in 2002 on Ill Boogie Records. The two-disc It's the Bootleg, Muthafuckas! Vol. 1 was released in 2003 and collected the earlier Demigodz material, while in 2004 Where's Your Album?!! brought together some of the previously released solo releases. Both appeared on the Demigodz label. After this second EP, Bromley signed on to Atlantic Records, but left the label in 2009 due to creative disagreements.
On June 30, 2015 Apathy dropped two projects: an EP called Weekend At The Cape and the fourth installment of his popular "It's the Bootleg, Muthafuckas!" compilation series called The Black Lodge.
Albums for 2016 include Handshakes With Snakes (which was originally a mixtape), The Widow's Son and an album with O.C. as Perestroika. However, on February 17, 2016 he told on his Facebook page that it wasn't possible to drop all three projects in 2016 and that The Widow's Son was delayed until early 2017. March 2017 Apathy said it would be released by the end of the year On July 11, 2017 he announced the release date for Perestroika for September 22, 2017.
2) Apathy is a doom/death metal band from Norrköping, Sweden, being the creation of multi-instrumentalist Viktor Jonas. The band started as a side-project in 2003 when Viktor was playing the drums in a black metal band called Nattstrype. The band disbanded later that year and gave Viktor time to focus on Apathy.
In April 2006 Apathy released a critically acclaimed EP; “Cold Endless Winter”, which, aside from Viktor Jonas featured Sebastian Gustafsson (Miss Behaviour) and Vidar Wetterhall (ex-Sarea, ex-Taiga, ex-Ravenlords).
After a couple months of hiatus, Viktor began working on new songs for an upcoming release. In late summer of 2007 he was approached by Serge Farinas (Simbelmyne, Amidst the Withering) and collaborations were initiated. Serge added additional rhythm, lead and acoustic guitars to the songs.
As on the first EP, Sebastian Gustafsson and Vidar Wetterhall were once again hired for bass guitar and vocal duties. Another guest musician, Johan Dyyk (Sabachthani), contributed with guitar solos for two of the songs.
"A Silent Nowhere" was released on the 24th of April 2008

Got your hands on your face, and you're scared to peek through
That speed does something to your body that excites you
The NOS gets you off, the nitrous ignites you
There's lights in my rear view, and streets I steer through
With woofers up so loud, what, I can't hear you
Lets skip the chit chat, shut up and sit back
I'm a teach you how to drive stick, now grip that
Why I need a chick who can't handle it like a pro
Workin those curves that can flip my whip
Grip them hips like my tires grip the strip
You hear my speakers pump, makin you scream when I beat it up
I got your engine revin just to heat it up
Hit it fast till whiplash affects your neck
This ain't bout racin it's all bout um um
I know you want to hold it, but its hard to control it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
I push it till I roll it, and somebody gotta tow it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
I know you want to hold it, but its hard to control it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
I push it till I roll it, and somebody gotta tow it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
I give gas to the ass and spin it around
And the centrifugal force is pinnin you down
A lot of these broads are brainless, barely an acquaintance
Who'll probably give me brains if I pull up in a vanquish
Advanced and tricked out when I pull the whip out my garage
She's like oh my gosh and flipped out
Get out the car, activate the alarm
Pimped out, incognito, and tinted out
A superstar in the car, people tryin to figure out
Got you in the back seat, make it rock, two shocks squeak
We'll freak in the parkin lot, spot two cops creep
If you wanna ride, I wanna know how it feel inside
Rotate the bass so you feel it side to side
Shift into fifth, so she quickly reached down
She needs more speed now
I know you want to hold it, but its hard to control it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
I push it till I roll it, and somebody gotta tow it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
I know you want to hold it, but its hard to control it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
I push it till I roll it, and somebody gotta tow it
I drive it like I stole it, drive it I stole it
In "Drive It Like I Stole It," Apathy describes his love for driving fast cars and the intense rush it gives him. The chorus "I know you want to hold it, but it's hard to control it" refers to the power and thrill of driving a high-performance vehicle. The verse "That speed does something to your body that excites you / The NOS gets you off, the nitrous ignites you" highlights the adrenaline rush that comes with driving at high speeds and using nitrous oxide to enhance performance.
Apathy also emphasizes his expertise in driving and his desire for a partner who can match his skills on the road. He boasts about his ability to navigate through the streets with ease, using his powerful woofers to drown out any distractions. He urges his partner to sit back and let him show her how to drive stick, asserting that he only wants a partner who can handle the car like a pro.
The song is a celebration of the reckless abandon that comes with driving fast, and the idea of driving like you stole it implies total disregard for caution and safety, yet still feeling in control of the vehicle. The chorus repeats this sentiment as Apathy proudly proclaims "I drive it like I stole it."
