Before their unfortunate demise, Apocalypse Hoboken toured with the likes of The Vandals, The Ataris, Ten Foot Pole, Less Than Jake, Swingin' Utters, Agent Orange, Guttermouth, Strung Out, Bigwig, Suicide Machines, At the Drive In, Murder City Devils, and appeared on West Coast dates of the Warped Tour.
Their last show in 2003 sold out Chicago's Metro, and though they haven't recorded a shred of new music in five years, demand for their live act has never been greater. A reunion at the Abbey Pub with all-original members promises to be a highlight of 2006.

Your Momma's a Timebomb
Apocalypse Hoboken Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
She's gone away in a Puerto Rican van
And you know that I can't have that
A child turns to whispers and deadbolt doors
In company of teenage boy and whores
A tongue draws poison as loved ones depart
She's a woman now and it's breaking my heart
Leeching off your parents
Crushed a caring hand for a taste of fun
Soaking in libations
A newfound liberation
Telltale sign she's grown up and gone
A light heart denying
Pre-occupied with dying
Heart life defying
Is she falling or is she flying
Looks like little Nikki gone and lost her grip
In a puddle of snot and blood Nikki slipped
A mother hears the cry of her beaten child
It's the loss of life in the heart of the wild
Violence - we are violent
We want violence - we got violence
We are violent - we want violence
We got violence
The lyrics to Apocalypse Hoboken's song "Your Momma's a Timebomb" tell the story of a young woman who is growing up and making choices that the singer disagrees with. The first verse sets the scene with the singer cleaning up and the young woman leaving town with a man in a Puerto Rican van. The singer expresses concern, saying that he can't have her leaving like that. The second verse describes the woman's behavior, including being in the company of teenage boys and using drugs and alcohol. The singer is disgusted and saddened by her actions, saying that she is "crushed a caring hand for a taste of fun".
The chorus deals with the violent tendencies in society, saying that people want and have violence. The final verse describes the woman, Nikki, slipping and getting hurt. The singer describes a mother hearing her cry and the loss of life in the heart of the wild. The lyrics suggest a sense of frustration and helplessness on the part of the singer, who is watching a young woman make choices that he sees as dangerous and harmful.
