1: APOGE… Read Full Bio ↴At least six bands currently operate with the name Apogee.
1: APOGEE is a japanese synthie-pop band found in 2003. It consists of four members:
Nagano Makoto (Vo.& G.)
Mano Wataru (Dr.& Cho.)
Ooshiro Yoshihiko (Syn.& G.)
YUU Hiroshi (Ba.&Cho.)
APOGEEs music is influenced by New Wave/80s sounds with remarkably synthesizer parts. In contrast Makoto’s soft and unique voice and many musical elements make a “new mixture”.
Trademarks are their highly animated music videos, which never fail to surprise.
They debuted in 2006 with their first single 「Yakan Hikou」( Night Flight). In 2007 their first album 「Fantastic」released featuring their singles „Ghost Song” and “Good Bye” such as their debut single.
Additional to their regular singles they recorded covers of popular songs (by BONNIE PINK, Crystal Key, Utada Hikaru and more), which they released as acoustic versions.
In the same year they had great success with their first performance on SUMMER SONIC `07, which attracted overwhelming attention of thousands.
2: A German Progressive Rock band. Arne Schäfer plays all the instruments and sings in a "Hammillian oriented" progressive style. Although the thoughtful lyrics feature in the music, there are very good instrumental textures on the background. This combination makes the music very interesting, although ground-breaking sounds are found here... there's always a component referring to "I have listened to this before somewhere". Its worth to mention that the albums are very well produced in general.
3: a fusion rock band based out of Kent, Ohio. The group recently finished recording their debut release entitled 'Big McLarge Huge.'
4. A short-lived band formed in 1997 by Mr. Dibbs, Yoni Wolf of Why? and Dose One of which exists a few live recordings.
5. a West Philadelphia power trio. Refer to "Apogee (USA) or the Main Street West label page on last.fm.
6. A band in Juneau Alaska also known as P&W (Paul and William). Mostly Progressive Rock originals and covers started in 2008 and create music occasionally and cover songs.

Interference
Apogee Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Partial darkness - selective observation
Eyes are searching for appeasing confirmation
Something's floating by - a stream indicates the way
Through the veins of time to a sea of restlessness
Hardly time left for a glance at silent alleys
But as the time flies - a fugitive glimpse
Gains and sprays a peculiar charm
This fleeting moment adheres in my brain
Wakes my daydream - falls like rain
While the gross information takes a different way
Something's attempting to carry further
The everyday scene I'm just passing through
I see the actors - I have to try
To understand the role they play
While the gross information takes a different way
"'c) Transition Colours"'
Beneath my feet there's a dazzling reflection
A sea of stars and clusters
Sources of light are revealing the presence
Of humankind
Curious structures are sliding below me
Like leaves on a brookes streamlets
Irrational distances covering I'm lost
In dissolving time
Half awake - half asleep - passing through this time zone
Out of touch - out of reach - any determination
Just dimly the anticipation beyond
Of a cultural metamorphosis
The slow and continuous motion of which
Is unaccessible to me
Imagining every transition colour
Of a spiritual evolution
Advancing without any chance
To appreciate the loss
Half awake - half asleep - passing through this time zone
Out of touch - out of reach - any determination
"'d) European Dream"'
All of a sudden I awake from my European dream
Finding myself inside a charming but hard battered tell tale world
Some of the ancient mysticism is still there
Heavily interspersed by alien elements
Deep inside this fascinating pulsating life - a hard healing wound
Perpetual fevers are raging within and around
Irreconcilable - as it seems - its components
Fixed by a welding seam - corrosion domicile
"'e) Remnants of Interference"'
And from every direction flashing
Impressions, symbols penetrating
But their meaning is hidden behind a velvet curtain
Knowledge grown in eons
Different marginal conditions
Colliding and repelling each other
And a hundred of eyes are staring from gated windows' separation
And I'm lost with a multitude of unanswered questions
Knowledge grown in eons
Different marginal conditions
Colliding and repelling each other
"'f) In Lasting Conflict"'
Despairing trials to soothe the suffering
Caused by the remnants of interference
Arbitrarily drawn borders
Surviving relics of darker ages
Reminding days of unconcerned morality
A presence still reveals the traces
Of a cultural violation
In lasting conflict insecured
And still held down in the game of powers
Reminding days of unconcerned morality
"'g) From a Safe Distance"'
Concealed hostilities long time suppressed
Are present for all to see now
But still for the sake of political interest
Officially denied
And from a safe distance - reliable connections
Maintain the sphere of influence
The lords of yesterday seize the inheritance
Of an inglorious past
Half awake - half asleep - passing through this time zone
Out of touch - out of reach - any determination
"'h) Different Approaches"'
And again we part our ways
Different approaches to an aim
Historically contrary defined - but still
Different ways in nature alike
Will in tolerance combine
There's a will and a way to go
There's a spirit of understanding
Historically contrary defined - but still
Different ways in nature alike
Will in tolerance combine
The song "Interference" by Apogee is a reflective piece that explores themes of human experience, identity, and societal progression. The song is divided into eight different parts or subsections, each with its own unique perspective and ideas. The first part, "Partial Darkness," describes how individuals tend to selectively observe things based on their individual perspectives and biases. The second part, "A Fugitive Glimpse," examines the idea of fleeting moments, ideas, and thoughts that can have a profound effect on one's daydreams and imagination.
The third part, "Transition Colours," is a reflection on human progression and evolution, exploring ideas about cultural metamorphosis and spiritual evolution. The fourth part, "European Dream," is a more politically charged piece that explores the idea of culture clashes, ancient mysticism, and cultural violation. The fifth and sixth parts, "Remnants of Interference" and "In Lasting Conflict," continue to explore themes of conflict, societal oppression, and the remnants of darker ages.
The seventh part, "From a Safe Distance," examines the idea of political power, influence, and control, while the final section, "Different Approaches," offers a more hopeful message about human progress and the potential for tolerance and understanding.
