1) Apollo was formed in 1969. They released one album, Apollo (1970). Their music was occasionally heavy and the band sounds like Led Zeppelin or Procol Harum, with little bit King Crimson in it. Members have been in other Finnish progressive projects.
2) Apollo was a post-hardcore/experimental rock band from North Bend/Coos Bay, Oregon, United States.
Bio of theirs from 2011:
"Beginning in early 2010, Apollo has gained recognition for becoming one of the rising artists in Oregon. Starting in the small town of North Bend, Apollo was publicized in local news papers and played on local radio stations, and now wants to further their reach on the West Coast. Their inspiration derived mainly from the early post-hardcore music and mixed with their early roots of jazz, has gained a reputation of being “an original sound”. The music being the main focus of the band was given a window of experimentation, grounded rhythmically with diverse bass and drums, along with coordinated ambient guitars and the voices of virtually every member in the band. Aided with the help of their front man Tyler Mansfield, Apollo self recorded their first album the “Apollo EP", which included six songs, and two instrumentals. After they had built an aesthetic, coining the Apollo “A” as their symbol, and releasing many self made design made by Sam Duell(Dead Sea Design), the band sought the business help of management. Having recently been taken in by Monolith Management the band hopes that their so far hard work will pay off in their next album that is currently untitled. The new album is, says the band, "better the anything we have written and will show our true colors."
Members:
Tyler Mansfield (Vocals)
Sam Duell (Guitar/Vocals)
Justin Sweet (Guitar)
Scott Mecum (Bass)
Anthony Hatzel (Drums/Vocals)
Luke Sanchez (Bass)
Chris Krajewski (Bass/Vocals)
Their full-length album 'We Must Be Feeling The Full Moon' was released in 2013, featured 11 songs and a much more unorthodox approach to writing, making it Apollo's first real full length album. Before this they released a self-titled EP in late 2010 and an EP in 2011 called 'Lighthouse'.
3) Apollo was fronted as one of the young and hopeful Norwegian hip-hop artists when he released his debut album. This was when Norwegian rap was relatively new (at least successfully) and many believed his flow would make Apollo the most successful in time. Unfortunately he waited many years before releasing his second album and never quite reached the top. His albums are considered good ones, though he didn't make the hall of fame. He's maybe biggest hit was the sample of Janicke "J-Diva"'s "Svake Mennesker".
4) Apollo is an alias of Megara vs. DJ Lee.
5) Apollo is a new Danish rock act from Copenhagen rising up from the underground. The band has just returned from Varispeed Studios in Sweden where they recorded the first half of their coming debut album. The second half will be recorded in April, and the album is due out in September '09. But in the meantime there is a limited edition EP - "Songs From the Night and Songs For Tonight" - that has been out since February '09.
5) Apollo is an alias of Luke Knight (We Were Ravens, Methuselah). Apollo releases tend to center around the construction of deep, spacious, and hypnotic drones and soundscapes.
6) Apollo Indie Dance / Post Punk band from Ballarat, Australia. They Began mid 2009 when two kids decided to constructively channel their boredom in the form of melodic sound. After a short period of time another two gentlemen were thrown in the mix, unearthing a distinct sound from which Apollo were born. Remaining hidden for the best part of their first year as a band, the Apollo team steadily brewed a unique mix of dance, post-punk & pop, as well as shooting the odd hoop or two. 2010 saw Apollo finally break out onto the local scene, turning a few heads with some demo tracks and a high energy live show. Now with some experience under their belt and some ambition in their heads Apollo have a long and winding path in front of them. Apollo were added to the Grovin the Moo festival line up in 2010, Bendigo leg and shared the stage with acts such as Silverchair, Tegan and Sara, Grinspoon, Spoon, Howl and many more.
7) APOLLO is a 21 year old singer/songwriter, born and raised in Long Island, NY. Heavily influenced by the sounds of pop and R&B music, APOLLO creates a sound that captures the experience of young, queer, Black man navigating romance, heartbreak and the fragility of one's ego.
AURORA
Apollo Lyrics

Glowing in the night
Like we were 17
Feel the wind
Running up my arm
Aurora
Stardust in your eyes
Filling up the sky
Homecoming queen
Delaying the sunrise
Aurora
Aurora
Aurora
Now we are driving down the road
I can see no trace of life abroad
You and I alone down on the Milky Way, it's safe to say
That you and I floating in the void
Faster than fastest asteroid
You and I alone down on the Milky Way, it's safe to say
It's just the perfect dream
You and me
Looking at the stars
Aurora
Aurora
Aurora

Looking at the stars...
The lyrics to Apollo's song Aurora weave a dreamy, nostalgic narrative about a moment frozen in time, where everything is perfect, and the universe seems to stop moving. Looking at the stars, glowing in the night, the singer and their companion are transported to a time when they were 17, full of hope and wonder. The wind running up their arm is a physical sensation that pulls them back into the present, but the stardust in their companion's eyes and the feeling of being the only two people in the world remain. The metaphor of Aurora, the goddess of the dawn, delaying the sunrise, suggests the singer's reluctance to return to reality, to the day-to-day routine that they find unsatisfying compared to the transcendent moment they're experiencing.
As the lyrics progress, the singer and their companion transition to a new setting: driving down a road with no signs of life. Here, they're not just nostalgic, but also introspective, as they contemplate their place in the universe. Up in space, they're faster than the fastest asteroid, and they feel safe and content floating in the void, disconnected from the world they left behind. The song ends with the singer acknowledging that, as perfect as this dream of theirs may be, it's just that: a dream. But the memory of it, the feeling of being connected to the stars, lingers on.
Overall, Aurora is a song that captures the feeling of being suspended in time, of experiencing something that seems perfect and impossible to replicate. It's also a song about the innate human desire for transcendence, for moments of connection to something bigger than ourselves.
