2009 saw Aranda’s single, “Still in the Dark,” break into the top 30 on the Active Rock chart.
That same year, American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson hand-picked two Aranda songs to cover on her album, All I Ever Wanted — including the high-energy in-your-face song of rebellion, “Whyyawannabringmedown” and, “All I Ever Wanted,” which became the title track for Clarkson’s album. Also, in 2009, Aranda’s “Whyyawannabringmedown” was selected by the WWE as the theme song for the pay-per-view event, The Bash.
Clarkson’s covers reinforced to the band that their music has an audience if given the proper chance. Aranda released a deluxe edition of their 2008 self-titled debut album, which included live tracks and a radio mix of “Whyyawannabringmedown,” along with a DVD of their wall-shaking album release show, Aranda: Live From OKC.
Dameon and Gabe have shared the stage with many of the biggest names in rock performing with hit bands such as Papa Roach, Saving Abel, Stone Temple Pilots, Shinedown, Staind, Sick Puppies, The All American Rejects, Rev Theory, Saliva, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, Halestorm and Black Stone Cherry. With the brothers’ airtight harmonies and passionate onstage performances, Aranda’s live show is unforgettable.
“We want to create high energy, keep rocking, keep everybody entertained. We want to involve the audience and make it fun for them,” Dameon says. “Our hope is that you’ll keep coming back for more.”
Aranda joined Saving Abel in the summer of 2012, on a nationwide tour with special guest Redlight King. The tour included stops in major markets throughout the U.S. In August 2012, Aranda supported Theory of a Deadman on several tour dates, including stops at The Knitting Factory in Boise, ID, Spokane, WA and Reno, NV. Currently they are on the road with Daughtry and 3 Doors Down.
Wind-up Records released Aranda's second studio album, Stop the World, on October 16th, 2012, which was Produced by Grammy-nominated Producer, Johnny K., (Disturbed, Sevendust, Staind, Drowning Pool). Stop the Worldhas already yielded three national radio hits — “Undone," peaking at #26 on the Active Rock chart and “Satisfied,” which peaked at #14 on the Active Rock chart. The latest single “One More Lie” is currently climbing the Active Rock charts.

But yesterday won’t let go
Every day every day every minute
Here comes the emptiness
Just can’t be lonely you know
Every day every day hey hey
This second-chancin’s really getting me down
You give and taking everything I dreamed about
All I ever wanted all I ever wanted
Was a simple way to get over you
All I ever wanted all I ever wanted
Was an in-between to escape this desperate scene
Where every law reveals the truth
Baby cause I all ever wanted
All I ever wanted was you
I’d rather walk alone
Don’t wanna chase you around
Every day every day every minute
I thought a thousand times
For I let you drag me down
Every day every day hey hey
Your new beginning was a perfect ending
But I keep feeling we’ve already been here before
It’s time you let me know let me know just let go
All I ever wanted all I ever wanted
Was a simple way to get over you
All I ever wanted all I ever wanted
Was an in-between to escape this desperate scene
Where every law reveals the truth
Baby cause I all ever wanted
All I ever wanted was you
Tell me with so many out there
Why I always turn to you
Your goodbyes tear me down every time
And it’s so easy to see that they’ll blame this on me
All I ever wanted all I ever wanted
Was a simple way to get over you
All I ever wanted all I ever wanted
Was an in-between to escape this desperate scene
Where every law reveals the truth
Baby cause I all ever wanted
All I ever wanted was you
The song "All I Ever Wanted" by Aranda is a heart-wrenching ballad that speaks of the struggle of moving on from a past relationship. The opening line, "Tear up the photographs, but yesterday won’t let go" sets the tone for the song. The singer is trying to let go of the past but is plagued by memories that won't leave them alone. The second line, "Every day every day every minute, here comes the emptiness" conveys the idea that the singer is constantly reminded of what they've lost.
The chorus, "All I ever wanted, all I ever wanted was a simple way to get over you" showcases the frustration of trying to move on. The singer wants nothing more than to put the past behind them, but they feel stuck in the same place. The line, "Where every law reveals the truth" adds to the idea that the singer is searching for a way to escape their pain but can't seem to find one.
The bridge is particularly poignant as the singer admits, "Tell me with so many out there, why I always turn to you. Your goodbyes tear me down every time, and it’s so easy to see that they'll blame this on me." This line shows the difficulty of moving on from a relationship and how the blame is often placed on the person who is trying to let go.
Overall, "All I Ever Wanted" highlights the struggle of moving on from a past love, the desire to escape the pain, and the difficulty of letting go of someone who once meant everything.
