Overall Meaning

The opening lyrics of Arcane's song Instinct suggest a desire to escape, to flee from something or someone, with an overwhelming sense of urgency. The singer initially reveals two urges that he could no longer keep at bay, an instinct to run and an instinct to fly. This strong inclination may indicate that something is pressing, that they are trying to avoid something. However, the lyrics then hint at a previous decision, which they had both made together and had figured out everything.
