In 2013, Architects parted with Century Media, self-releasing the documentary One Hundred Days: The Story of Architects Almost World Tour and joining Epitaph Records. They released their sixth album Lost Forever // Lost Together through the label in 2014, achieving widespread critical acclaim which has lasted since. Soon after the release of their follow-up All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us in 2016, principal guitarist and songwriter Tom Searle died after three years of living with skin cancer. In September 2017, the band released the single "Doomsday"—the last song that he was working on before his death—and announced Josh Middleton of Sylosis as their new lead guitarist. The single is included on their new album Holy Hell, which was released in November 2018 and is their first written without Searle.
All members of the band are vegan, having turned to veganism after watching several documentaries on the subject. They also promote the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, with Carter being one of its British ambassadors.

They were formed from the ashes of Hellcat Records (and later Thick Records) Ska/Pop/Rock band The Gadjits. The Architects sound is a mature version of the later Gadjits material, dropping all ska influence for a Springsteen & The Who sounding rock approach. Hunt Them Down
Architects Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Hunt them down before it's too late
Now is the time to make the most of their pain
They deserve it for all that they have ruined for you
Don't think or say anything
Don't hold back,
You'll regret this night. x2
It's all over, yeah!
Finish them now
Push them down
Face first to the ground
They deserve it for all they have done to you.
Make the most of their pain
They deserve it for... ruined you
Now is the time to make the most of their pain
Hunt them down before it's too late
Don't think or say anything, not now.
The lyrics of Architects's song Hunt Them Down are quite intense and confrontational. The song's message revolves around the idea of revenge and taking action against those who have caused harm or hurt to the singer. The first two lines of the song make it very clear that there is no time to waste and that the person being referred to needs to be hunted down before it's too late. The next lines imply that the pain inflicted on the singer was significant, and it is time to retaliate now. The singer believes that the ones who have ruined things for them deserve to feel the same pain in return.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the idea of not holding back and making the most of the opportunity to take revenge. The lyrics suggest that if the singer restrains themselves, they will only regret it later. The lines, "Don't make the same mistake twice, finish them now, push them down, face first to the ground" invoke a violent visual, as the singer urges the listener to take physical action against the person or people they seek revenge upon. The final line of the chorus reasserts the idea that revenge is justified because the target has indeed done something to harm the singer.
Overall, Architects's song Hunt Them Down is a powerful expression of the idea of taking revenge. The lyrics are emotive and carry a sense of urgency, urging the listener to act fast and not hold back. It is not entirely clear who the song is directed towards, but the raw emotion and intensity of the lyrics make it clear that something terrible has been done to the singer, and it is time for them to retaliate.
