Im a huge AVB fan and have been for a very long time. Armada is indeed a very big label with a ton of artists but every artist doesn't exclusively make Trance. W&W for example, when they started they made mostly Trance. Now, they have some progressive house, some electro too. You cant compare Alex M.O.R.P.H to Aly & Fila or compare Andrew Rayel to 16bit Lolitas. All very different sounds.

guys armin is just making the music he wants to make (great music by the way). he changed his style through time, I know. but maybe he's just exploring something different, maybe he doesn't want to make only trance (although you can obviously notice those beautiful trance melodies in all of his songs). I'm sure he will make more amazing trance because he loves it too, that's for sure.

Bingo! Armin and his machine are too big and as you stated, monopolized. Armin has massive influence over where the genre goes. Just count the top ten tracks on beatport. As of me posting this, seven of the ten tracks were released on sub labels of Armada... the sound of trance has become more about what sells, what sounds commercial enough. And let's not forget that the labels decide what to release and what to reject from producers. In short, support innovative trance producers such as Naden.

been listening to EDM for over 15 years. All sorts of flavors, primarily trance. With an affinity for progressive/euphoric. This is trance, it elevates the state of mind, and expands consciousness (without "the spice"). Does it have harder elements? Yes. But it's not house. Pretty sure you're the ignorant one Lidor. I think Trance syndrome is where you listen to a trance song and you never go back to what you listen to.that happen to me i use to listen to rap rock country after listening to Armin i never heard it since.

It's Progressive Trance..just look BPM (are 128) . In Trance BMP are round to 140, in Progressive Trance like in Progressive House BMP are from 125 to 130
