I heard a university professor on the radio a few years ago that said Trance music is the most complex music on the radio waves. Rivaling Classical with it's multiple layers, tempo changes and instrument use... I just hope that one day the USA catches up with the rest of the World in it's love for this awesome genre. It's a shame that it takes Britney Spears, BEP, Rihana, etc for people to actually listen to electronica nowadays.

@feonyx the trance scene is actually getting bigger and bigger everyday in USA. I'm in the LA/OC area, and there's some clubs that are actually getting good artist. A club in Newport (never would've imagine it) just had Gareth Emery and Cosmic Gate. And ATB as well as Above&Beyond will be there in the next weeks. And then you have LA, last week I saw Above&Beyond. And alot more artist/producers will be playing. Paul van Dyk, Tritonal, Robbie Rivera, Marcus Schulz. Its just a matter of looking.

The university professor mentioned above can't have been a music professor. From this video, there's no way it can be seen as rivaling classical music in texture, tempo changes or instrumental use. It's all electronic, so it has none of the vitality or timbre that acoustic instruments have. The tempo is simple technopop dance. Instrument use? Nothing here comes close to the full orchestration of a Beethoven Symphony. It's fun for what it is, but to say it's anything more is pure hype.

@DanielVanderHeyden btw there is two different classical trancelations.. ones jan vayne from classical to trance and then theres classical trancelations by lowland which takes trance songs and makes them classical.

@feonyx Hey, I completely agree with your professor, but I state in the defense of the U.S. that there are those, who wholeheartedly support melodic and emotionally captivating music like trance versus the majority of pop crap on the radio. It's up to the listener. Additionally, as a rebuttal, some trance songs and europop could be classified as much worse as some American pop music. No offense to tech-trance, but there are songs that consist of only a sputtering bassline. Nothing else!!!

this resembles in no way to Moonlight Sonata, only the piano piece in the beginning where only vocal choirs are slightly added, then its a pure house beat. No classical piece of Moonlight Sonata is mixed in any way. The name of the song is irrelevant.
