Currently calling Nashville his home, Aron was born in Little Rock, AR, raised in St. Louis, MO, and moved to South Africa at the age of 16. Throughout his teen years, Aron learned how to play trumpet, bass trombone, and tuba through marching band and jazz ensemble. He began playing guitar by the age of 13, but didn’t start writing songs until he moved to South Africa where there was no symphonic band and was instead encouraged to sing and compose. Upon graduating high school, Aron moved to Nashville where he attended Lipscomb University. After graduating with degrees in Spanish, French and Marketing, Aron taught Spanish for two years before deciding to pursue music full time.
Recently Aron Wright was featured on Nashville’s local independent radio station Lightning 100’s “Local Artist Spotlight” with his song “Christmas Ain’t Christmas This Year.” As an artist, Aron has played with acts such as Matthew Perryman Jones, Jeremy Lister, The Features, Daniel Ellsworth, and Brooke Waggoner. Aron’s musical influences include Patty Griffin, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Otis Redding, Maxwell, Sigur Ros, and Radiohead, to name a few. Aron’s future plans include promoting the new album through upcoming shows and touring.
Build It Better
Aron Wright Lyrics

In a line at the top of the chimney bricks
Sometimes, something so broken can never be fixed
So we saved a few things that were spared
And brought it to the ground
Cause you always build it better the second time around
I drove past the place where we use to live
Sometimes, something so broken can never be fixed
I'm sleeping more and eating again
I'm starting over like a factory town
And you always build it better the second time around
You always build it better the second time around
You always build it better the second time around
You always build it better
You always build it better
You always build it better the second time around
You always build it better the second time around
You always build it better the second time around
You always build it better the second time around
In Aron Wright’s song “Build It Better,” the artist speaks of the process of rebuilding after something has been broken. The opening lyrics utilize imagery to paint a picture of a house that is still visibly scarred from a past trauma. The line “you can still see where the water was in a line at the top of the chimney bricks” suggests that the house experienced a flood that left behind a distinct mark. Despite the attempts to repair the damage, some things cannot be fully restored. As the song progresses, it becomes clear that the house is meant to be a symbolic representation of the singer’s life. The lines “sometimes something so broken can never be fixed” and “I’m starting over like a factory town” imply that the singer has experienced a personal trauma that has left them feeling irreparably damaged.
The song’s refrain of “you always build it better the second time around” offers a hopeful message of perseverance and resilience. It suggests that despite being knocked down, the singer is determined to not just rebuild, but to do so in a way that surpasses their previous life. In this way, the song is a testament to the human spirit’s ability to bounce back from hardship.
