In This Together
Art vs. Science Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In all of these people
Caught in confusion
Caught in the middle
You and I are floating through the night around a star
In this together
With arms out wide, she cries, "we are, we are, we are
In this together"
You and I are floating through the night around a star
In this together
Her arms out wide, she cries, "we are, we are, we are
In this together"
Now, we need to dance
No time to think
Just music, just music, just music
Now, we need to dance
No time to think
Just music
Damn, I feel so close to you
I'm feeling something
(In this together)
Her arms are open wide
She cries, "in this together"
(In this together)
All of this mess
And no-one is steering
Nowhere to run to
Makes you wanna shout
Damn, I feel so close to you
I'm feeling something
(In this together)
Her arms are open wide
She cries, "in this together"
(In this together)
Damn, I feel so close to you
I'm feeling something
(In this together)
Damn, I feel so close to you
I'm feeling something
(In this together)
Her arms are open wide
She cries, "in this together"
(In this together)
The lyrics of "In This Together" by Art vs. Science are quite simple, yet they convey a powerful message of unity and togetherness. The song seems to be about the feeling of being lost and confused in a world where there is chaos and disorder, but finding solace in the fact that everyone else is in the same boat. The lines "All of this light in all of these people, caught in confusion, caught in the middle" suggest that there is hope in the fact that we are all connected and can support each other through difficult times.
The chorus "You and I are floating through the night around a star, in this together, with arms out wide, she cries 'we are, we are, we are in this together'" reinforces the idea of unity, and emphasizes the importance of human connection. The lines "now, we need to dance, no time to think, just music" suggest that music can be a unifying force that brings people together and helps them forget their troubles. The repeated phrase "damn, I feel so close to you, I'm feeling something" expresses the sense of emotional connection that can be felt when people come together to enjoy music and each other's company.
Overall, the song emphasizes the importance of human connection and emphasizes the idea that we are all in this together, no matter what difficulties we may face.
