A few theories of my own:

Maybe we feed jeb with sentimental rich items, like we could feed it any old metal bits. But a metal tray owned by an old grandma? Maybe that's the thing we are feeding the eldritch horror with. A logic far above our normal understanding.

Maybe the monster behind the wall poops out literal gold in exchange for this sentimental items, like a twisted take on the midas myth.

The alien bio might just be that, alien. Alien species that has overrun an overly profit driven company that ignored all safety procedures.

I definitely want to believe Jeb is the beast, and Gordion the gold planet. However. The question of the building container, and the stuff on the platform in general. Make me need other answers before the other is fully believable...

How does one consume a planet and all its people, but then get caught and contained it a tiny (comparably) building? The actions of intaking the items, as well....

Unless Jeb was less intelligent before impact...
and in consuming the people "the people forgetting", Jeb grew more intelligent, and set the company into motion as a "lazier" feed me program... But eventually something "went awry" for the beast's side. And "the company" split into two, with one side somehow trapping the beast within a building. - Perhaps the containers were a lure... and the drill will be a mistake...

but then, the "company store" dropship, comes from space even on Gordion. So... "SOMETHING" we don't go to is still out there, and associates itself as "the company"` - of course. If there was a second faction split from something founded by the beast, or something like that.... then they could just be "that" and be keen on tracking your data, for things, to ensure the beast is frequently fed and essentially sedated with all nearby moons being abandoned and evacuated as potential next targets, meanwhile, things on said moons have come out of the woodwork moiderlizing us....

Perhaps also these now abandoned places... were testing parts of Jeb/Gordion... resulting in similar entities in most places coming forth from the woodworks...

bandit i had a theory that in skyward sword when link went to the past he created an alternate timeline where demise never breaks out of his seal because link sealed him in the master sword. so zelda wouldn't get captured and demise wouldn't be around in that timeline.

the formless Jeb might only eat inorganic materials.considering most of the stuff we give jeb is plastic, metal, and rubber. the exception being the beehives but since the bees conduct electricity there might be some insulative material in the hive. perhaps the golden planet was largeley made of gold and was thus eaten whole (that could explain why gold bars are the most valuable item in the game). the company might be the good guys, trying to keep jeb sated so it doesnt leave the walls of the building. maybe anything alive in the golden planet was digested much slower or was spit out since it didnt eat living things (as referenced to the voice inside the walls talking about "spitting out the rinds"). maybe Jeb is dormant and the only awake part of it is behind the company counter and the company building is actually just trying to stop it from moving again. so many interesting ways the story could go

One theory I’ve had is that the moons’ names might outline what happened. The moons’ names in order are Experimentation, Assurance, Vow, Offense, March, Rend, Dine and Titan. I noticed some of those seem to go together to form a story. So at the beginning we have Experimentation, some group was experimenting with something and accidentally summon something, probably the beast. It however offers them assurance that it won’t harm them provided they obey some sort of rule. The people accept, making a Vow of loyalty to the beast. However this ends up falling apart. Offense and March could be someone causes offense or it could be a different group of humans becomes alarmed by the beast and decides to attack, going on the offensive and marching on the place the beast is staying. The beast becomes angry and Rends the planet apart, dining on the pieces and people as it does. Finally Titan would be the beast’s identity, a giant planet eating monster.

Many of the moons you explore say they splintered off from each other, as if they were all part of a significantly larger planet, one that used to have humans on it. Kinda like the Golden Planet. I think you the player are actually in the beast’s stomach along with everyone behind the wall, it’s just that you’ve been given the job of helping break things down into digestible bits by bringing back scrap. Some of Sigurd’s logs point out that while he has a vague memory of why he has this job, his father had been pestering him to get one, he doesn’t actually remember getting this job or if he even said farewell to his father before leaving, almost as if he has been dropped into a manufactured narrative with only the barest hint of a backstory and he is only just becoming aware of that before he is unfortunately killed on one of the missions.

Like Leo said, the seed dictates a lot more than just interior generation. If you have a poster mod (a lot of which are randomised) and for some reason the seeds break, they'll remain the same along with everything else that's meant to be random.

The beast is the Elden name of the company, the “golden planet” could just be Midas the man, or a whole planet, or maybe the planet is in a pocket dimension inside the beast.
I think the more intriguing route would be that a king midas character has been consumed by this beast. Midas constantly turns the inside of the beast’s stomach to gold which it eats. The Midas character is enslaved to the beast, he makes gold out of the scrap.

Something I don't hear anyone talk about is the possible relationship between the the monsters and Jeb. Surely it's no coincidence that all the moons are abandoned, and every facility that the company is looting is full of supernatural monsters.

May I provide a counter-theory?

Gordium is well known for another myth, the Gordian Knot, where whoever untangled it would become king of all Asia. The secret of the knot was solved by Alexander the Great, who split it in half, and promptly conquered all of Asia known to the Greeks at the time, and even beyond. Perhaps Gordion could be reference that whoever cracks through the wall will have won the game? Or, on the flip side, that if Jeb splits through his containment chamber, that he will "conquer" all of the solar system, by consuming it all.

I dunno if someone said this already, but I feel like the man Sigurd talked to could be Midas himself. It just….fits, in a sense. And the reason Jeb consumed the planet is because he’s a monster that’s ever-hungry for gold or metal. A lot of items in the lethal company that I remember are metal. And gold bars are often worth a lot. Perhaps because Jeb really, really likes gold?
Now this is just stupid territory, but what if Midas is alive inside Jeb, and turns whatever scrap you give Jeb into pure gold in order to ‘stay alive’ in a sense.

i always felt like jeb and the company were 2 separate things. jeb likely posed a threat to humanity, but, somehow, people found a way to "contain" it, and they set up a system to continuously feed it and keep it tame enough so it doesn't break out of containment, thus creating the company

I would love some more lore videos from this game! One theory I have is that the idea of traveling to different planets or moons is actually a lie. The people in the ship are actually just going high into the atmosphere and then landing again. There are no windows on the ship and the navigation computer (which is owned by the company) can be programmed to say whatever the company wants.

I think that would explain the stop signs and random items items that wouldn't seem to belong in these almost recent abandoned facilities. The world almost feels like it is in a post war/fallout state.

I think it is possible that humankind is being controlled or enslaved in some way. Maybe the company is a group of humans trying to appease the aliens or entity.

It’s said Rich died and got replaced by Lucas. Jess, Desmond, and Lucas probably died because they couldn’t meet quota, but I believe Sigurd died to the Ghost Girl. She appears to the most crazy and paranoid player, and Sigurd said in one of the logs he was crazy. He also saw the ghost of Rich or something like that, proving he’s going insane.

Edit: This also adds up because the Ghost Girl cannot be scanned. Although possible she cannot be scanned because she is only able to be viewed by a singular player at a time; but also because in the first log, Sigurd says he makes the bestiary. The Ghost Girl isn’t in the bestiary because she can’t be scanned, but this leads to why I think he died to her. He died before able to write about her.

Before I read any of the logs, I thought the monster always wanted to eat "ideas". What I mean is things that require a deeper understanding to use (luxury items like paintings and perfume, entertainment things like toys, or science things like a laser pointer) are of higher value than sheet metal. That all seemed to be turned on its head once I had all of the logs

A random theory that i thought of while playing the game when i first had it. Each moons have the same building structure with the other higher rank moons having the same interior too. Which tells me that at some point there were some people who made those facilities, but somehow got abandoned or they all died due to the creatures that now exist. You can even look at the description of some of the moons and it may mention that the moon was abandoned or that it was filled with creatures. It is likely that each moons had experiments that have gone wrong Or monsters horror creatures started to invade all of the moons of all a sudden. The company is likely a bad company that may have kidnapped you to go back to each moon's facility and bring scraps back.

Speaking of creatures, if you read some of the bestiary it mentions that some creatures can and will kill you if you do not have a few people around you. Like the Bamboon Hawk, it runs away if its outnumbered. And coil-head if anyone turns their back on him, they will kill you. So you need your friends to help you deal with these creatures. Even fighting the bracken, nutcracker, thumper, spider, you guys have to form a strategy to kill them using methods like Stun Gun and Shovel.

If this video theory is true on saving the one guy in the building and that a driller is under the landing port on the company, it make sense that you are working for the company, but also secretly finding scraps to make a driller to free that one guy. Its like being in prison and carving a wall hole in your cell secretly being monitor by the system.

It seems to suggest that the moons we travel to were once inhabited by humans, but they are abandoned by unknown reasons. It’s possible that the creatures that live on the moons may have taken over? However, there are spiders and bugs that you can kill with just a shovel, and there are turrets that can be found that are still active, so what exactly caused these structures to be abandoned in the fist place?

Given it’s still in alpha, the game and story is still being created, so it’s best we wait and see what we’ll find.

A theory to add to your theory. I agree that activating the drill could become a potential way to "win," but there is an issue: what happens then? You drill through the wall and meet Jeb. What happens next? Maybe you save a few employees from being eaten, but Jeb is still there. The cycle of new employees trying to meet impossible quotas will inevitably repeat. What is the end-game.

What I believe is that activating the drill is just one obstacle on the path to victory. You will also need to defeat Jeb once through the wall.

I think that if the drill becomes usable, a message will be added suggesting a possible "secret" to defeating Jeb. Maybe it's a bomb or some kind of virus, or a certain material that jeb can't eat, which needs to be implanted.

This is all a massive "what if" scenerio that has many assumptions, but i think it's plausable.

I remember seeing something in the game boot screen that has all the orange text and sounds like an old computer starting up that mentions a copyright between 2084-2108 for Halden Electronics Inc. I don't know if this relates to the lore at all but I would assume that means that the game takes place at LEAST after 2084

I saw on a couple of videos (one being Markiplier’s) that occasionally when you find the old brick cell phone loot, it will start to produce voices. Also unrelated, the remote turns the lights on the ship on and off so if you got someone back on the ship and you find a remote you can mess with them a bit.

Basically, it's made by the same developer with a mostly comedic gameplay with the "horror" coming from how hectic everything is. It's the game where you can grab a door off its hinges to use as a weapon against the 12 crows that you accidentally spawned. Just look as Insym's playthrough.

@@godismyjudge4964 I forgot to mention, but there is actually a direct reference to Upturned in the update trailer with the mask, since you can see a player draw a dog-like creature with purple spray paint which is a character in The Upturned.
Also, I believe that the Radar Booster is the device from It Steals' "Poltergeist" gamemode. And I think the landmine might be the sound of your watch thing in the "Walls are Alive" gamemode.
So in short. Tons of shared assets between the games which isn't a bad thing at all. Why make new thing when old thing works just as well!

My thoughts:
I think that the beast was causing massive outer space destruction, The Company trapped it on the golden planet after it consumed it and built massive walls around it to "contain" it and organized missions to feed it and keep it tame. The Company has developed over time to figure out basically how to keep the beast at bay but they don't ACTUALLY have control over it. The Company may at one point have been run by people, but I think we're playing the game way beyond that in the future where Company missions still operate but "The Company" doesn't really exist anymore. Everything is all automated, and all the people that created it are dead.

Also, while technically The Company is operating in a way that may be considered "good" by trapping the monster, I don't think the company is actually "good". I think they have their own motives, and aren't to be trusted.
The Company, even if they did one good thing definitely plays for their own team.

I have no idea where the monsters came from or why they're all the same on all these different planets. Or why there are all these abandoned compounds on a bunch of planets. It's possible that The Company used to do something else, but pivoted to this once Jeb became a thing. Or maybe the company was creating monsters and they accidentally created Jeb and everything they've done since has been to try fix it. Jeb could've been an experiment gone wrong that then needed to be trapped in a high security facility, and feeding him would take priority over the other labs so that's why every compound is now just scrap. Idk

I think it can still be assumed the game is in "the future" compared to 2024 due to no removal or change to the bootup screen stating a copyright of 2084-2108, but I think it was always a question of "in what calendar?" given that Sigurd's logs have always been 1968 and our 1968 sure didn't have jobs on various moons. You can say it's a difference of human tech, but I wouldn't be surprised if the game universe's calendar is going off a "Before Gordion"/"After Gordion" year system and "1968" is just 1968 years after Jeb was first put in the wall. As for the Golden planet, what the Company is, and what Jeb is, I've got no idea aside from the obvious "ancient tentacled threat swallowed a planet, got locked up, and is being kept neutral with tributes of scrap", anything further just feels like fanfic/crackpot theories. Even the "they forgot everything" line being thought of as a memory wipe, if the years are BG/AG as I speculate, then whoever's inside Jeb is like, the 90th generation inside Jeb. It could be as simple as them all forgetting over time, just as the outside world forgot about what really happened to the Golden Planet. Or they forgot because they're a ghostly spirit which forgot the events of its death (common trope). Really can't be sure, especially when ghosts definitely exist in the LC universe.

Whats more interesting is where does "the company" get the ships? Where did they get the funds? Where do they refuel? What is it? Did they put a app on indeed with the salary being 100k plus and said entry level hiring multiple candidates? Who trains the new recruits on what is needed. Are we the trainees or the managers giving on the job trainning and only the manager can respawn therefore making sense of the ranks?

Hey Bandit, I was playing Zelda the other day and I had a random idea about the timeline. (I know you said you don’t want to make anymore timeline or TotK videos but hear me out) ok so what if breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom take place before Ocarina of Time? Knowing how the game takes heavy inspiration from SCP, I believe the “company” is using the building and 71 Gordion to contain Jeb. Preventing him from escaping and wreaking havoc on other planets. While having disposable workers adorned in orange suits (like D-class) constantly feed him scrap to keep him satiated. However when they can’t keep up and prove inefficient, they are disposed of.

71 Gordion is just the containment site of Jeb and the workers are unknowing participants of Jeb’s containment procedures.

There was NO golden planet. However, it is perfectly reasonable for the Man Behind The Wall to assume there was one.
Why? Because Jeb's stomach is lined with miles upon miles of golden treasure.
There was no golden planet. But there's a king in Gordion who changes scrap into gold. Jeb is king Midas.

The Company is not a facade created by a lovecraftian monster. It's a real business, being ran by real people - the people who answered the call from the other end of the system, the people who send the supply ships and the people who built walls around Jeb. The Company is a business that collects scrap from all around the system so that Jeb can consume it and transform it into gold inside his stomach. This is how the Company makes a ridiculous fortune, though I have no idea how do they extract the gold.

Any star system can be referred to as a solar system, the terms are interchangeable. When referring to OUR solar system specifically it is the Sol System, or just Sol.
You can tell this is what the dev meant since being set in our solar system and also in a fictional system in a fictional nebula with only two planets is contradictory.

I also have to point out that any celestial body that orbits a star (white dwarfs are stars) that has cleared its orbit of other space debris is considered a planet. I get the dev probablt just called them all moons for simplicity's sake but ita technically inaccurate.
If these "moons" havent cleared their orbits then they would be dwarf planets like Pluto.

Theory: So, we, as in our modern day 2024 computer using apes on Earth, mostly use... idk the actual term, but its based on Christianity and Jesus being born n whatnot (could be wrong). But like, thats because there was a major shift in human culture due to the religion, what if, this is a NEW calendar, based on when humanity started to fly through the stars? That would be a major event. Maybe the new system is based on when humans started flying through the stars, and not the (theoretically) older Jesus based one.

So for Sigurd and the lads, its only 1987 or sumin, but to us it would be like 5128. I mean they are in a NEW.. Nebula? So they might have started a new calendar based on when they arrived to the new area. And made a New Earth and over time old earth was just a myth and bam, Sol system in a new area.

Like, some of the weird things made, like, mf coilhead, dont seem like something even WE could make.

But it could also possibly just be an alt universe to our own. idk.
