Both singles were playlisted by P3. In 2022, she released her debut studio album For evig, dedicated to her twin brother Andreas who took his own life in 2020. The album was critically acclaimed, and it also entered the Norwegian Albums Chart at number 31.
Himalayan Road
Ary Lyrics

Don't wanna feel
How much I need you now
How this is real
Lonely hearts club
Yeah we all know
Nothing we say is gonna make it right
Letting you go
Is a long road
Will you still wait if I stay a while?
Let me live and I will buy that bike
That Himalayan road I thought I'd never ride
And though I'm only half of what we leave behind
I know you'd want me to
Let me heal and I'll be good as new
Cause that'll mean I stayed because I wanted to
I'll set the world on fire just like you said I would
Just like we wanted to
Feel your tears in my eyes
I'll keep your secrets for life
I do belong by your side
But even if heaven is open how long would I have to arrive
Lonely hearts club
Yeah we all know
Nothing we say is gonna make it right
Letting you go
Is a long road
Will you still wait if I stay a while?
Let me live and I will buy that bike
That Himalayan road I thought I'd never ride
And though I'm only half of what we leave behind
I know you'd want me to
Let me heal and I'll be good as new
Cause that'll mean I stayed because I wanted to
I'll set the world on fire just like you said I would
Just like we wanted to
Here in the summer night
Feels in the midnight high
I raise a dream of the day I'll die
I feel you, I'm longing for it
The lyrics of Ary's song "Himalayan Road" convey deep emotions and themes of loss, longing, and healing. The song opens with a reflection on the struggle to let go and move on from a relationship. The singer is grappling with their feelings and acknowledges the difficulty of facing the reality of needing someone and the pain of separation. The mention of a "Lonely hearts club" highlights the common experience of heartbreak and the inability of words to mend the hurt.
The chorus introduces the metaphor of embarking on a journey down a "Himalayan road" as a symbol of personal growth and transformation. The singer contemplates taking steps towards healing and self-discovery, even though they feel incomplete without their partner. The decision to move forward is presented as a long and uncertain process, with doubts about whether the other person will still be there when the singer is ready to return.
The verses delve deeper into the idea of finding solace and purpose in pursuing one's own path. The singer expresses a desire to live authentically and fulfill their dreams, symbolized by buying a bike and riding the challenging Himalayan road. Despite feeling like only a fragment of their former self without their partner, the singer believes that moving forward is what their loved one would want for them.
The song concludes with a poignant reflection on the bittersweet nature of memories and longing for what once was. The singer recalls intimate moments with their partner and contemplates the uncertainty of the future, questioning how long it will take to find peace and closure. The yearning for connection and the hope for a brighter future are palpable throughout the lyrics, as the singer grapples with both the pain of loss and the possibility of new beginnings.
