1) ASIN is a Pinoy folk and folk rock band from the Philippines. After fronting rock and roll bands during her teens, Lolita Carbon met Cesar "Saro" BaΓ±ares Jr., Mike Pillora Jr., and Pendong Aban Jr. in Kola House, a folk rock club, and then decided to form their own musical group, naming it Salt of the Earth.
They had signed a major record label and renamed their band to Asin after a record producer was searching for a "female" Freddie Aguilar, taking advantage of the Filipino folk rock boom during the late 1970s. Their eponymous 1978 debut album includes a cover of Freddie Aguilar's "Anak" and the rest are all original works.
Some of their popular songs include the environmental song "Masdan Mo Ang Kapaligiran," "Ang Bayan Kong Sinilangan," "Pagbabalik," and "Balita." According to Pendong Aban Jr. who grew up in Agusan del Norte, most of their songs were based on the experiences in Mindanao. Because of too much illegal logging and violence in their homeland, they wrote lyrics that hoped for peace and a better environment in Mindanao. They sometimes use kulintang and other traditional instruments of the southern Philippines to give their music a more indigenous spirit.
In 1993, Saro BaΓ±ares Jr. was murdered in a bar brawl in Cotabato, causing the group's members to part ways. Aban had his band Ang Grupong Pendong, while Carbon went solo. Later in 2000, they decided to reunite but Pillora backed out later, although Pillora gave his blessings to the new album that Carbon and Aban would release. The record album Pag-ibig, Pagbabago, Pagpapatuloy, the first Asin album after 12 years, features unreleased materials of the late BaΓ±ares.
2) Asin is an hard techno/schranz artist from Tokyo,Japan. With a rough upbringing, Asin's musical preferences instinctively went to a hard direction. Although he got into music through hip hop, his solo endeavor digging for harder sounds brought him to schranz, a style developed in Germany, so far from his home Tokyo. The 20 year old talent continues to stoically concentrate in his production and performs in the Far East underground scene.

Asin Lyrics

Ang buhay mong sa lupa nagmula
Bago mo linisin ang dungis ng 'yong kapwa
Hugasan ang 'yong putik sa mukha
REFRAIN
Kung ano ang 'di mo gusto
Kung ano ang iyong inutang
Ay s'ya ring kabayaran
Sa mundo, ang buhay ay mayroong hangganan
Dahil tayo ay lupa lamang
Kaya pilitin mong ika'y magbago
Habang may panahon, ika'y magbago
Pagmamahal sa kapwa ay isipin mo
The song "Lupa" by Asin is a reflective and introspective piece that talks about the importance of self-reflection and change. The first two lines, "Nagmula sa lupa, magbabalik na kusa, ang buhay mong sa lupa nagmula," speak about how everything comes from the earth, and eventually, we all return to it. It is a reminder that we are all connected to the earth and the cycle of life and death.
The next two lines, "Bago mo linisin ang dungis ng 'yong kapwa, hugasan ang 'yong putik sa mukha," imply that before we judge or criticize others, we should take a good look at ourselves and our flaws. The lyrics encourage us to cleanse ourselves, physically and metaphorically, before attempting to help others cleanse their own dirt or mistakes. This message serves as a reminder to treat others with kindness, love and empathy.
The refrain, "Kung ano ang 'di mo gusto, huwag gawin sa iba, kung ano ang iyong inutang, ay s'ya ring kabayaran," acts as a guide to human behavior, encouraging listeners to treat others the way they would like to be treated, and to take responsibility for their actions. These lines remind us that everything has a consequence, whether good or bad, and we should take care with our words and actions.
Overall, "Lupa" is a reminder to live a meaningful and purposeful life, to treat others kindly and to take responsibility for our actions.

Pangulong duterte.

I was in 4th grade when our teacher gave us this song and this particular video as our promotional song. I loved it so much even though I was having a hard time singing it with this bpvideo because it has a lot of blending and as 9 year old kid it was beyond hard but I enjoyed singing it, and was so sad that I couldn't join them to sing in the program because my mom's graduation and our promotional program is on the same date. But the song never left my mind and heart.
Now I'm 15 and as I listen to this song again after 6 years I'm still able to sing it but now, I sing it with clearer mind and with life experiences with deep thoughts about Life , I can deeply understand this very special song and will be forever treasured not only in mind but heart.
