Signs
At Mind Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Live for the moments of victory
Giving all away for the fame
Go by the divine desire
The holy flamings of inner fire

Play by the rules of hypocrisy
Reaching your goals by any means
Criticize everyone in your way
Your own flaws to deny

Oh, you’re the evil of man
Known by the blood in your hands
Of thy friends

The only name in the game that you play:
The Sign of a Victory

“No mercy!
No feelings for the weaker
The stronger will survive;
I’ll take it all away I can”

You feel the feeling
Your ego’s in the ceiling
Your harness is your suit
It makes you feel..
..To feel like a man

The world in a golf ball
The trend that leads their downfall
You lack the sheer originality
So play, baby, play!

Boredom sets into a boring mind
Life enclosed inside your case
Toy soldiers in the world made of clay
Ostracized by your tribe

Oh, you’re the evil of man
Known by the blood in your hands
Of thy friends

The only name in the game that you play:

Sign of defeat

Sign of retreat

The Sign of a Victory

Overall Meaning

The song "Signs" by At Mind talks about the pursuit of fame and success, but also the negative consequences and moral implications that come with it. The lyrics suggest that some people are willing to sacrifice everything, including their principles and integrity, just to achieve their desired level of recognition and validation.

The first verse highlights the idea of giving up everything for fame and success, even if it means going against one's own beliefs and values. It mentions following the "divine desire" and the burning passion within, suggesting that the pursuit of fame can sometimes become obsessive and all-consuming.

The second verse explores the theme of hypocrisy and manipulation. It suggests that some individuals will do whatever it takes to reach their goals, even if it means criticizing and undermining others along the way. It also emphasizes the tendency to deny one's own flaws and shortcomings, placing blame on others instead.

The chorus confronts this person and labels them as "the evil of man" who gets recognized solely by the blood spilled on their hands. This implies that the person's actions have caused harm and damage to others, ultimately leading to the loss of friends and connections.

The final lines of the chorus refer to the person as the "Sign of a Victory," suggesting that their pursuit of fame and success has ultimately resulted in triumph, but at the expense of their morality and integrity. The following verse then changes the perception and labels them as the "Sign of defeat" and "Sign of retreat," implying that their actions have led to their downfall and isolation.

Overall, the lyrics of "Signs" paint a critical picture of the relentless pursuit of fame and success, emphasizing the negative consequences and moral compromises that can come from it. It serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of staying true to oneself and maintaining integrity.

management: I don’t act out on my intrusive thoughts.
Coping: I don’t make my neuroses other people’s problem

I’ve dealt with this since childhood. Talking to people doesn’t help, medication either.
It never goes away.
I just wake up, take a breath, stand up, take a step, and choose to live my day.
It always comes down to choice, and I’ve made the same one every day.

I don’t know who’s going to win this battle of persistence, but I’m gonna place my bet.

Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.

Psychedelics definitely have potential to deal with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, I would like to give them a try but haven't found any legit grower to get it.

The Trips I've been having have really helped me a lot,I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well
