The band features Lisa Fenton as lead vocalist, Jim Smith on guitar, Rob Wakefield on Mandolin/Viola/Utogardon, Gaz Phillipson on Bass guitar, and Paul Grimshaw on Drums.
Having recorded one E.P demo featuring the songs Drive Me, Habitual and Help Me, the band are due to release their first full length album towards the back end of 2008.
Although the predominant style of music is heavy rock, each member of the band brings in their own musical influences ranging from Classical music, to Dream Theatre and from pop music to rap, hip-hop and folk!
Aurora-Project were originaly formed back in 2006 when the remaining members of the former band Redscar recruited guitarist James Smith. Since then the line up has remained as it is today, the only addition being the Hungarian "Utogardon" (beaten cello) which is played by Violist/Mandolinist Rob.
Aurora-Project are a very interesting, exciting and powerful band to watch live, and the wide range of influences make them appeal to a wide range of musical tastes.

Every time I smile, I don't remember it
And every time I cry, I just can't forget
Why I'm livin' this lie, it's just about anyone's guess
Why I don't realize, I thought I was doin' my best
So, heal me, reach out your arms and save me
Heal me, reach out your arms and hold on me
Help me save me from myself
Don't lie to me, cuz I found a way to believe in it
Confide in me, it's the only way we can get through this
Believe in us, that's all I ever wanted you to do
I believe in you I'd do anything that you want me to
So, heal me, reach out your arms and save me
Help me save me from myself
Heal me, reach out your arms and hold on me
Oh, help me save me from myself
Oh, help me save me from myself
So, heal me, reach out your arms and save me
Help me save me from myself
Heal me, reach out your arms and hold on me
Oh, help me save me from myself
Heal me, reach out your arms and hold on me
Help me save me from myself
Heal me, reach out your arms and hold on me
Oh, help me save me from myself
Help me save me from myself
Help me save me from myself
Help me save me from myself
The lyrics of Aurora-Project's song "Help Me" convey a plea for assistance and support from oneself. The singer portrays a struggle with their own emotions and memories, feeling disconnected from their own joy and unable to forget their sadness. They acknowledge the difficulty in understanding why they are living a lie and failing to recognize their own efforts in doing their best. The lines "So, heal me, reach out your arms and save me" and "Help me save me from myself" reflect the desperate desire for someone or something to help them overcome their internal struggles and find solace.
The lyrics further emphasize the importance of trust and communication. The singer asks not to be deceived, as they have found a way to believe in something, indicating a need for honesty and vulnerability. Confiding in someone becomes crucial for overcoming their personal challenges and moving forward together. The repeated lines "I believe in you, I'd do anything that you want me to" demonstrate a willingness to put their trust in the person they are addressing, reinforcing the significance of mutual faith and support in their journey toward healing.
