(1) Avery a solo singer from the U.S.A. At the young age of 16, pop rocker AVERY became an internet sensation with over 12 million views on her YouTube page. Her debut single and video, “Love Me or Let Me Go” reached over 1 million views in less than 3 months of its release, landing her a major record deal with Universal. In January 2011 Entertainment Tonight labeled her, “The next big thing.” Avery is one of the youngest artists to join the Universal Motown family.
Hailing from Phoenix, AZ, Avery’s musical journey began in the local theater where she played Gabriella in their version of High School Musical. Avery not only sang her in hometown choir, she was part of a singing charity group “Acts of Love” where she would perform in homeless shelters and teen crisis centers throughout the city.
Avery was discovered at the age of 14 by manager/producer Aton Ben-Horin from The Agency. Aton was with a friend who was randomly watching comedy skits on YouTube. Avery had recreated the car scene from the movie Stepbrothers with her girlfriends, singing “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns & Roses. Aton, without watching the skit, had heard the tone in Avery’s voice during her solo scene and from there was on a mission to work with her. With the help of her parents, he flew her to Plush Studios in Orlando, FL where they wrote and recorded “Love Me or Let Me Go” in a weekend. The music video was filmed 2 weeks later, and became an instant viral hit.
Avery is currently in the studio writing and recording her debut album to be released in 2011.

Are You Ready
Avery Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Are you in love
Are you in love
Are you in love
Are you in love
You ain't the same
Are you ashamed
And baby don't lie
Don't overreact
We all have a past
And I'll drink to that
Are you in love
Are you in love (Oh am I, am I)
Are you in love (No I don't know, I don't know, I don't know)
Are you in love
Are you in love
Are you in love
Are you in love
Are you in love
Is this for real
Did I make a mistake
Did I put you down
Or am I in your way
No, I'm not too attached
But when I see you low
That's when my heart starts to drop
I'm trynna see you glow
Glow
Are you, are you, are you
Are you, are you, are, you are
Are you, are you, are you
Are you, are you, are, you are
Are you, are you, are you
Are you, are you, are, you are
Are you, are you, are you
Are you, are you, are, you are
Are you in love
Are you in love
Are you in love
Are you in love
The lyrics of Avery's song "Are You Ready" seem to revolve around the theme of love and uncertainty within a relationship. The repetition of the phrase "Are you in love" creates a sense of questioning, as the singer wants to know if their partner truly feels love for them. There is a hint of insecurity as the singer wonders if their partner has changed or feels ashamed of something. The lines "What's your endgame" and "No, I'm not too attached" suggest that the singer is unsure of their partner's intentions and level of commitment. Despite these uncertainties, the singer still cares deeply for their partner and wants to see them happy, as expressed in the lines "I'm trynna see you glow."
The repetition of the phrase "Are you in love" throughout the song emphasizes the central question and adds an introspective and reflective tone. It portrays the singer's vulnerability and their need for reassurance and validation in the relationship. The lyrics convey a mix of emotions, ranging from curiosity and longing to insecurity and the fear of being hurt. Overall, the song captures the complexity of love and the doubts and uncertainties that can arise within a relationship.
