1. An… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least two music groups under the name 'Aviators':
1. An independent electronic music project created in Vermont, USA by Tyler Shaw in early 2011.
Being skilled in music theory after 8 years of violin lessons and teaching himself how to play the guitar, he created his first EP, Never Say Forever, using the digital audio workstation GarageBand, but removed it later, due to his lacking production skills at the time.
After switching from GarageBand to FL Studio and figuring out how to use it, he released his debut album, Reflections Of A Dream, in December 2011.
Before the release, he asked the indie musician Yoav Landau, better known as The Living Tombstone, to remix one of the songs on his debut. Landau agreed and shortly after the remix was uploaded on YouTube, Shaw's fanbase began to grow.
As of September 2019 his discography consists of 11 full-length studio albums, 1 TV-Show based album, 10 EPs, 5 remix albums, 2 soundtrack albums, 2 compilation albums, and 22 singles, as well as a number of free-to-download songs on YouTube and SoundCloud under the name 'Aviators'.
His most recent 12th studio album, titled 'The Cinematic Future', released March 6, 2020.

Aviators Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
With a blissful ignorance of what's to come
When the guardsmen start to struggle
And the barriers give way
We're broken and we wither in the fray
We are husks alive but barely breathing
Sometimes we pull ourselves together
Crumbling by the moment
We try to push away the ending
And black roses fall the same
Running off afraid of what's to come
When you're facing down the barrel
Of the lawman's gun
But the saints have learned the secret
And the rebels know the same
We're killing just to bury our remains
We are husks alive but barely breathing
Sometimes we pull ourselves together
But our efforts fade away we are dust
Crumbling by the moment
We try to push away the ending
And black roses fall the same
Preludes of every stanza
End on repeating notes
A tale of woe and sadness
Chorus of silent throats
We try and keep a memory
Transcribing every line
But when they turn to ashes
We perish slaves to time
Burned out on borrowed moments
Used up like cigarettes
We feel our time expiring
But it's not over yet
Each finds a meager purpose
Though our cold grave await's
We face the morbid beauty
Of our collective fate
We are flawed chained to the laws of nature
I guess we'll have to teach each other
To leave legends to our names
We are husks alive but barely breathing
Sometimes we pull ourselves together
But our efforts fade away we are dust
Crumbling by the moment
We try to push away the ending
And black roses fall the same
We are husks alive but barely breathing
Sometimes we pull ourselves together
But our efforts fade away
We are husks alive but barely breathing
Sometimes we pull ourselves together
But our efforts fade away we are dust
Crumbling by the moment
We try to push away the ending
And black roses fall the same
The lyrics of "Black Roses" by Aviators speak to the struggle and fragility of the human condition. The song begins by depicting the innocence of children, blissfully unaware of the hardships that lie ahead. However, as they grow older, they come face to face with the struggles of life. The lyrics suggest that despite their efforts to stay strong and united, they are gradually worn down and wither away. The image of black roses falling represents the inevitable and dark fate that awaits everyone.
The second verse delves into the fear and uncertainty that arise when confronted with danger, symbolized by the barrel of a lawman's gun. The lines "We're killing just to bury our remains" highlight the desperate and destructive measures people may resort to in order to cope with their inevitable demise.
The lyrics in the bridge explore the fleeting nature of life and the transient nature of memory. Each stanza ends on repeating notes, emphasizing the cyclical nature of existence. The allusion to burning out on borrowed moments and perishing slaves to time reflects the theme of mortality and the urgency to find meaning and purpose before it is too late.
Overall, "Black Roses" conveys a sense of existential angst and the struggle to find significance in the face of mortality. It explores the human desire to overcome the fleeting nature of life and leave a lasting legacy.
