Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
Sweet dreams are made of this
Sweet dreams are made of this
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
Avicii's song "Sweet Dreams" is a cover of the hit song by Eurythmics which was released in 1983. The song has an upbeat electronic dance sound that lends itself well to the message of the lyrics. The lyrics explore the idea that everyone is searching for something in their lives, and that some people may pursue these desires in harmful or selfish ways. The chorus repeats the phrase "sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree?" which speaks to the idea that people have different interpretations of what their dreams and desires are. The lyrics demonstrate that some people may seek to use and abuse others in order to achieve their goals.
The verses of the song specifically address different types of people and their motives. The first verse speaks to the idea that some people are seeking something in their lives, and may travel the world to find it. However, the chorus emphasizes that there are many interpretations of what people may be searching for. The second verse speaks to the idea that some people may use others to achieve their goals, and that some may allow themselves to be used in order to gain something. The repetition of the phrase "some of them" emphasizes the idea that there are many different types of people and motivations in the world.
Overall, "Sweet Dreams" by Avicii is a song that comments on human nature and motivations. It acknowledges that everyone is searching for something in their lives, but that some may pursue these desires in harmful or selfish ways. The upbeat sound of the song contrasts with the somewhat cynical message of the lyrics.
