His discography as a solist consists of four albums ("¡Échale semilla!", "Secreto y Malibú", "Zorzal" and "Pesebre"), however he has been long known as a versatile instrumentalist in Buenos Aires and Europe, namely working with such groups as La Portuaria, Kevin Johansen, Sexteto Irreal, Soda Stereo, Juana Molina or Hypnofon...His other works include film, theatre and dance spectacles´ scores.
In December 2009 Axel Krygier released two new albums in Argentina: "Pesebre" and "Trois Tangos" (Los Años Luz Discos). The first one is his solo project and a continous musical exploration. Expect new surprises: lots of cumbias, weird grooves and Klezmer beats. "Trois Tangos" is Axel's musical score to a Parisian contemporary musical-opera, staged last year in the French capital.

Princesa
Axel Krygier Lyrics

como de una fantasía,
contrastaba su belleza,
con tanta melancolía.
De día se estaba quieta,
con una fuerte apatía,
mas de noche la tristeza,
Yo vi sus ojos y lloré,
tomé su mano y la besé,
y ante el altar de sus piernas,
me arrodillé.
Entre atávicos objetos
y cuadernos de poesía,
sepultaba sus anhelos
de esplendor y de alegría.
Yo vi sus ojos y lloré,
tomé su mano y la besé,
y ante el altar de sus piernas,
me arrodillé.
The lyrics of Axel Krygier's song "Princesa" paint a picture of a woman who is beautiful yet melancholic, almost from another world. She is referred to as a princess, perhaps because of her elevated status, beauty or a sense of unattainability. The first verse establishes her melancholy, which is on display despite her beauty. During the day, she remains quiet and indifferent, but at night, sadness overtakes her body.
The second verse reveals that the woman has given up on her dreams of splendor and joy. She buries her longings amidst old objects and poetry notebooks, hinting at her once creative and hopeful intellect. The chorus states that the singer saw her eyes and wept, took her hand and kissed it before kneeling before her legs in a dramatic gesture. The song conveys the singer's intense feelings of compassion, admiration, and perhaps love for the melancholic woman, offering a glimpse into her world of beauty and unfulfilled desires.

Ella era una princesa
She was like a princess from a fantasy world
como de una fantasía,
Just like a fantasy princess
contrastaba su belleza,
Her beauty contrasted
con tanta melancolía.
With so much sadness
De día se estaba quieta,
During the day she was quiet
con una fuerte apatía,
With a strong apathy
mas de noche la tristeza,
But at night the sadness
el cuerpo le sacudía.
Shook her body
Yo vi sus ojos y lloré,
I saw her eyes and cried
tomé su mano y la besé,
I took her hand and kissed it
y ante el altar de sus piernas,
And before the altar of her legs
me arrodillé.
I kneeled.
Entre atávicos objetos
Among ancient objects
y cuadernos de poesía,
And poetry notebooks
sepultaba sus anhelos
She buried her hopes
de esplendor y de alegría.
Of splendor and joy.
