POWER
B.A.P Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

그러니까 모두 keep your head up

No no no 정말 이건 아니야

We got the power (whoa)
I got the power (whoa)
We got the power (whoa)

Warning warning warning warning
Warning warning warning warning
Warning warning warning warning
Warning warning warning warning (are you ready)

Everybody say
Hate you
One more say
Hate you
Everybody say
Hate you
One more say
One shot
Two shot

Move the crowd action
우린 약한 자들의 it's all passion

No no no 정말 이건 아니야

We got the power (whoa)
I got the power (whoa)
We got the power (whoa)

Warning warning warning warning
Warning warning warning warning

Everybody say
Hate you
One more say
Hate you
Everybody say
Hate you
One more say

Bomb bomb follow me
힘을 갖은자여 follow me
Bomb bomb follow me
Bomb bomb follow me
모두 하나되어 follow me
Bomb bomb follow me

We got the power (whoa)
I got the power (whoa)
We got the power (whoa)

Overall Meaning

B.A.P's song POWER is a rallying cry against the injustices of the world, particularly the inequality and greed perpetuated by those in power. The lyrics illustrate a stark contrast between the powerful and powerless, with the former taking advantage of the latter to fulfill their own desires. The line "힘있는 자의 그늘에 힘없는 자는 죽는다" (In the shadow of the powerful, the powerless die) highlights this disparity in a poignant way. The song urges listeners to keep their heads up and fight against the corrupt forces that seek to oppress them. The chorus "We got the power, I got the power" is a reminder that together, we have the strength and ability to create change.

The verses of the song allude to various cultural and historical references. (Money and power like Decalcomania) references the surrealist art technique of decalcomania, where paint is pressed onto a surface and lifted to create unique patterns. In this lyric, it suggests that those in power have used money and influence to create their own unique patterns of domination. "혁명 이건 guernica flow" (Revolution, this is Guernica flow) is a reference to Pablo Picasso's famous painting Guernica, which depicts the horrors of war and oppression. The song invokes this imagery to emphasize the urgency and necessity of revolution.

The fact that a group like B.A.P from a small company managed to have so much success from the start of their career and were competing with EXO still blows my mind. This group had so much potential to be bigger

@ScorpioBeauty

😭😭😭😭

We will never have or see a group that was as explosive, amazing, and talented as BAP. I mean, their debut, Warrior? That was THE shit. It was so hard to believe it was a debut because it was so much better than anything that was ever put out, even by veteran groups. They really paved the way for a new era of music. And yet this amazingness died with them because nobody else could do it as well or could even hope to replicate it. Groups like BAP come once in a thousand years, and yet this fucking company ruined their opportunity. You best bet they'd be way bigger than BTS now if they're still here. It's just such a pity that everything was ruined by a combination of bad management and, really, bad luck.

If you're ever reading this, BAP - you are irreplaceable and there will nobody who will ever be like you.

B.A.P is really in another level no one can reach

@alexandramichaela25

BAP's songs just pack so much punch. They were on the roll. Their songs were very powerful. Not only on the concept. Lyrics, rhythm, rap, choreo. EVERYTHING. THEY WERE SLAYING. It just breaks my heart that they weren't treated what they deserve. If the lawsuit didn't happen, or if it was just handled properly, we would have been blessed with good music until now
