Comprised of Bryan "Shank" Thompson and Paul Scott, two talented artists from New Jersey, Brothers Of Peace have definitely made their mark in dance music. Shank Thompson began his journey into dance music as a DJ. After much time refining his talent, Shank masterminded P&S productions, which rented out different venues and would attract up to 2000 people for a night of dancing. Possessing a very sharp ear for mixing and sound quality, this made the transition into studio production and remixing very natural. Shank graduated to doing remixes for local dance labels and then released a solo project on Sleeping Bag Records. Shortly after, Shank teamed up with Paul Scott and formed B.O.P. Paul Scott's interest in music developed at a very early age. Dance music penetrated his mind in the days of the literal "house parties". In Paul's teen years, DJing and playing in local bands had developed simultaneously. Shortly after, he hooked up with Ace Beat Records and recorded his first solo project a few years later while working at Club Sensation and Studios. Shank was introduced to Paul and the rest is history still being made. B.O.P. was formed in the early 90's. Realizing the strength of the team, B.O.P. decided to take on producing dance music full time. In titling most of they're A side track mixes as "B.O.P. Til U Drop", that's exactly what listeners all over the world were in store for. With hits like, "Just Us", "Feel Like Singing", "Got A Love For You" and "You Bring Me Joy" the new dance team on the block are making their mark in the dance scene.

One more gain
So we take another shot
To take the edge off life
And then we roll another one
Make it feel no more
I said I'm like juice, ahead of the rest
I need a s, s on my chest
These niggas lame, made me the l on my neck
Looser, you are such a loser
Pull up in that rooster, you in that pt cruiser
Watch over that lucid, your girl such a chooser
She be with the crew before you even introduce her
Yea, I'm on that next level
You, you have no clue sir
This is what I do, I'm faded and I'm too turnt
Living life like a highlight
Your life like a blooper
Every verse edge and take mine too, cause truth hurt
So we take another shot
To take the edge off life
And then we roll another one
Make it feel alright
Lost in the moment, lost in the party one more time
So we roll another one
Make it feel alright
Yea, who that who that'
Me, I do that do that
Let them doors up, call that where's you roulette
Don't touch nothing in my whip
Who's that' you can't move that
Any city I'm right there wherever I put my booty
My roof back, my coupe black, my soup lack
My lute back, I re-up that loo pack
My new hat, I threw that
My gun serves me 2 pack
I crowd surf and don't snatch my shoe back
True immaculates (alright), too extravagant (alright)
Shittin on your whole life, sue me after this
I said true immaculates (alright), too extravagant (alright)
I never miss a country cause I'm usually mackin
So we take another shot
To take the edge off life
And then we roll another one
Make it feel alright
Lost in the moment, lost in the party one more time
So we roll another one
Make it feel alright
The lyrics of B.O.P.'s song Alright describe the pursuit of escapism through alcohol and drugs as a way to cope with life's struggles. The verse "so we take another shot, to take the edge off life, and then we roll another one, make it feel no more" illustrates the desire to numb oneself from the difficulties of reality. Despite this, the artist recognizes the consequences of such behavior, alluding to the need to be "prepared for the worst." The lyrics also express a sense of superiority over those who do not understand the lifestyle, emphasizing the need to be ahead of the rest and the feeling of living life like a highlight.
The overall message of the song seems to be that it's alright to indulge in these vices occasionally as long as it's not detrimental to one's health and wellbeing. The chorus repeats the phrase "make it feel alright," suggesting that temporary relief is acceptable as long as it is not a permanent crutch.
Overall, B.O.P.'s Alright is a commentary on the modern-day pressures and stresses that lead to seeking temporary relief through drinking and drugs. However, the lyrics suggest that it should be done in moderation and with awareness of the consequences.
