Cry To Me
B.Russell Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Cry me a river
I get a bullet lodged up in yo liver
Black and white like the giver
God and the devil know that I'm a sinner
Twenty three I'm gonna shine Imma simmer
Put in that work and her booty got bigger
Don't give a fuck bitch I'm always the winner
I'm going off in the summer and winter
I calm her down you a bitch and you hit her
She just want dick and you really don't get it
Kitty so tight that I can't even fit it
Law of attraction bitch Imma go getter
I think Imma cum in my bitch and we having a kid just so I can fuck the babysitter
She call me Lil Uzi Vert cause she just wanna rock on my dick
Know you don't wanna believe it but I really fucked on yo mom and I fucked on yo bitch
Putting in all of that work so my great great great great great great grandkids are finna be rich
Nobody running this shit like B squared they all stuck in the system but I found the glitch
If you talking to me or my bitch you gon use your best manners
I know she love when my nuts in her mouth she gon eat em right up like a jar of some planters
Bet when that pussy lil boy got to running his mouth he ain't know that we had all them hammers
I just stepped up in the party the hoes going crazy and all I be seeing is cameras
All of my bitches are bad and they say I'm the goat
That lil hoe booty and titties so big that she jumped in the pool and she started to float
Know how to swim Imma dive in the pussy she screaming my name and I'm hitting my stroke
Don't be deceived she gon act like an angel in public
In private she love to get choked
Bitch I be bringing the energy like Elon Musk when he put out the Tesla
Adderall got me locked in Imma mix it with double dutch stuffed with some quality pressure
Now that I'm geeked Imma go rob a bank and I studied the plan everyday with professor
And I be turnt as a bitch like when they got up out of the mint cause I'm happy as ever
Already know that I'm up so I don't feel the pressure
Illuminated and a weapon
Flow came from the future all my music is the next gen
I can't stop flexing
Popping my shit like a texan
I used to trap out of Weston
While you be hanging she textin me
Me me yeah yeah yeah
Cry me a river
I get a bullet lodged up in yo liver
Black and white like the giver
God and the devil know that I'm a sinner
23' I'm gonna shine Imma simmer
Put in that work and her booty got bigger
Don't give a fuck bitch I'm always the winner
I'm going off in the summer and winter
I calm her down you a bitch and you hit her
She just want dick and you really don't get it
Kitty so tight that I can't even fit it

Law of attraction bitch Imma go getter
I think Imma cum in my bitch and we having a kid just so I can fuck the babysitter

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of B.Russell's song "Cry To Me" are filled with a mix of bold and provocative imagery that taps into themes of power, desire, and self-assuredness. The opening lines "Cry me a river, I get a bullet lodged up in yo liver" set a confrontational tone, suggesting a readiness to face consequences head-on. This image of conflict and potential danger is juxtaposed with the line "Black and white like the giver," hinting at a sense of duality or contrasting forces at play.

The mention of being seen as a sinner by both God and the devil adds layers of complexity to the singer's character, hinting at a self-awareness of their flaws and moral ambiguity. The reference to being 23 and ready to shine hints at a youthful confidence and ambition, while the emphasis on hard work leading to physical transformation (her booty got bigger) suggests a belief in the power of effort and dedication.

The lyrics also touch on themes of dominance and control in relationships, with lines like "Don't give a fuck bitch I'm always the winner" and references to sexual prowess. The singer's brash and unapologetic attitude is further exemplified by lines like "I think Imma cum in my bitch and we having a kid just so I can fuck the babysitter," showcasing a disregard for conventional moral boundaries in favor of personal satisfaction and pleasure.

The repeated references to success, wealth ("my great great great great great great grandkids are finna be rich"), and status ("All of my bitches are bad") suggest a desire for recognition and validation, while the mention of bringing energy like Elon Musk and the comparison to Texan swagger add layers of bravado and confidence. Overall, the lyrics of "Cry To Me" paint a vivid picture of a character who is bold, ambitious, and unapologetically themselves, navigating a world of desires, contradictions, and self-assertion.

You too lol! Recently I stumbled upon this epic song by accident😯 I was listening to an old Sam Cooke song "Bring It On Home To Me"...one thing led to another and Solomon Burke's name came up as one of the many great Blues/Soul masters that joined the likes of Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, BB and Benny King, and others before them...I watched Solomon's performance and was blown away! His voice, style, stage presence, was magical! I wondered how the hell had I missed knowing of him!? Everyone's heard of the late great Otis Redding even though he tragically died at the tender age of 26, so not able to be around for decades of hits, but still is way famous and known world wide.
I then searched for more songs of Solomon's, especially wanting to see vids actually showing his performance, not some lyrics with a a few pics in the background.
I finally found one video of a young Solomon Burke singing the highly addictive Cry To Me"😍😵‍💫😯 After I kept having to replay this epic masterpiece, I set it to Loop! That wasn't enough, because everyday I keep coming back to watch and listen to this:
"When your baby leaves you all alone..
And nobody call you on the phone...
Doncha feel like crying
Doncha feel like crying
Well, here I am, my honey c'mon baby, cry to me...
Doncha feel like crying (cry to me)
Don't you feel like cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-cry (cry to me) cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-crying? (cry to me)
Don't you feel like cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-cry (cry to me) cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-cr-crying?"
Wow! To me, Solomon Burke is the epitome of coolness, a real King, the master of soul and blues, and no future generations can compare to his talent, nor the other masters from that magical era that created these masters from the past. In many ways I wished I had been a teenager, young adult back in the 1960's that for me, had the best epic songs, singers, groups, etc...who can top the "Blue eyed soul" of the Righteous Brothers & Elvis. Then there's Dion, and other hot smooth voiced ones like him...the there's the unrivaled mega Masters of groups like The Stones,Beatles, CCR, Led Zeppelin, Small Faces {Itchicoo(?sp) Park} the Eagles, ...the epic hit White Rabbit by Grace Slick..
Then solo artists like Rod Stewart, Van Morrison, Tina (the legs) Turner...
then there's Janis Joplin and Joe Cocker, who are in a league of their own, just for their sheer unbridled performances and never forgotten uniqueness!
I could go on and on with how mind blowing the 🎶🎵 songs and singers that era produced.
Damn, I need to stop lol. Anywho, if I had been old enough in that era, I most likely be deceased by now, or too damn old to discover and realize just how amazing those many masters the 60s had, and jazzed and pleased how technology has advanced decades later that allow us to see, watch, and hear so many of them right from our homes, even though the majority have been long gone.

I'm 73 year old woman living alone. I play this and slow dance with my dish towel. What a sight to envision but this man's version is the BEST! Can't get enough. Not too old to wish I had a man my age to dance for in a fringy dress!

@kathrynralli4557

He's out there. Go dancing. My mother is 87 looking for Mr. Right, dancing 3 days a week!

@dtschuor459

I vote with the gal whose 87 year old mother still goes out.
If there isn’t anything in your area, maybe it’s gonna be up to you to find a senior gathering place and put on a sock hop?
But, I always have a gratitude for the fact that my legs still allow me to dance💝

@elizabethbeauchamp6580

Try dancing with the broom... it's fun😂!

@mrfreeland123
