Kill
BETWEEN MAN AND GOD Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I just got the news today you were dying,
Hot Damn! Were already partying.
But please, Before you have to leave,
Let me tell you these last few things.

Suffer, unto me
Indulge, my every need.
I don't want to meet you halfway
I've always despised that fucking place,
I'm not offering you my way
I'm kicking you down the fucking highway.

Get one thing straight from the get go,
I truly never gave a fuck about you
I never have and I never will,
Each day you breathe its more time to kill.

Fuck Your World Up

Your last breathe,
I'll take it now
Your last breathe,
I'll rip it away
And haunt your dreams in your final sleep

Get one thing straight from the get go,
I truly never gave a fuck about you
I never have and I never will,

Each day you breathe its more time to kill
I never have and I never will

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of BETWEEN MAN AND GOD's song Kill express a disturbing and violent desire for the death of someone who is about to pass away. The first lines "I just got the news today you were dying, Hot Damn! Were already partying" reveal the singer's excitement about the news and how they are already celebrating the upcoming death. However, the lyrics take a dark turn when the singer reveals that they have some things to say to the dying person before they pass away. The following lines "Suffer unto me, Indulge my every need" suggest that the singer may have some unresolved issues with the dying person and wants to take advantage of their vulnerability in their final moments.

The rest of the lyrics contain violent and aggressive language, with the singer admitting that they never cared about the dying person and that they are looking forward to their death. The lines "Your last breath, I'll take it now, Your last breath, I'll rip it away" portray an image of the singer literally taking the dying person's last breath and haunting their dreams in their final moments.

Overall, the lyrics of Kill are disturbing and unsettling, expressing violent and aggressive feelings towards a dying person. The song may be a commentary on the darker aspects of human nature and the desire for power and control over others.

@Jojostie Nah, it's your life. This story really sums up my thoughts about religion and how it can cause harm to some people...

"So there's a woman who loves purple. Like, fucking loves it.

Purple doors. Purple curtains. Purple panties. Purple soaps. Purple everything.

She drives a purple car and even asked her boss permission to paint her office purple.

Her least favorite movie is The Purple People Eater, because it gives the color a bad name.

One day a guy stops by her large purple house (it's hard to miss) and knocks on the purple door.

"Hi, do you have a spare room?"

"As a matter of fact I do," says the woman in a purple dress. She leads him through the purple door, into the purple hallway, and past another purple door. And another purple door. She finally stops by the purple door at the end of the purple hallway.

"Here you are."

The guy goes through the purple door, into the purple room, and unpacks his suitcase into a purple dresser. At the end of the night, he lays down in the purple bed and rests his head on the purple pillow.

The next day, he hears the woman screaming.

"Breakfast!"

He gets out of the purple bed, gets his clothes from the purple dresser, and goes out the purple door into the purple hallway. He finds his way to the kitchen and sits down at the purple table.

The woman opens the purple cupboard and pulls out two boxes of cereal: Wheaties and Cheerios. She sets them on the purple table.

"What would you like?"

The man considers for a moment before finally responding: "Cheerios."

The woman smiles.

"So it's true: 2 out of 3 do prefer Cheerios over Wheaties."

I think personally that he initially had us scared senseless probably on the basis that humans might tow the line,
but he realised this peculiar creature - humankind didnā€™t/wouldnā€™t ā€˜tickā€™ that way, so he moved the goalposts, he
got his only Son to give us very few laws, and then one of his wonderful creations KILLED him, but, nevertheless
a way that is as nearly impossible to follow was given to us all: ā€œLove the Lord your God with all your heart and
soul, AND YOUR NEIGHBOUR as yourselfā€.
The Lord altered the worldā€™s ā€˜constitution, (slightly,) but donā€™t discard all of the 10 Commandments, just tweak them
and little and then get two individuals to tell everyone what the fix now is and has been ever since.

And just to make absolutely clear I love and respect my God and his most Holy Son the Lord Jesus Christ.

Happy Christ-mas and a Blessed New Year, and peace to overcome manā€™s pettiness with how cruel can
they possibly be to their own peoples.

Basically the way my Theological Teachers put it its basically Jesus, Jesus basically cooled his Dad's temper, also it seems that the New Testiment itself is kind of Aware of this issue as it adds ques about God having Mercy even to the ones that Attack his People and Son.

Basically in Christian Canon its common place to say Jesus stayed Gods hand and made him less vengeful than he was,

I don't know if Islam has the same issue but the contrast between the New Testament and the Old Testament was basically Perspective,

The Israelites of the Old Testament Saw God not as a mear Father but a Divine Ruler, fhe Very enbodyment of His People, thats why his depiction is jaring for a Modern Softer Audience, also one has to Remember Conflicts were also more common back then as Well, people wanted to see God as a Warrior King, Firm in Rule but Fair in Judgement,

Meanwhile the New Testament Authors were seeking Optimism, to Early Christians the loss of the State of Judea was a sad loss, instead by that point they stopped wishing God to be Vengeful and Warrior like, they wanted to see God as a Warm and Loving Father to protect them from harm, which also explains why Christianity Spread in the Roman Empire especially to the Lower Classes and the Slave population and Not just Confined to the Original Jewish Christian.

@Yahweh_Child Trust me Iā€™m still desperately trying to find solace let alone any semblance of ā€˜loveā€™ in that doctrine. I simply do not understand violence, nor have I ever found a way to do mental gymnastics to justify it. Iā€™d appreciate it if you took the time to explain these following verses for me:

Numbers 15: 32-36
Deuteronomy 3:6
Numbers 31: 15-18
Deuteronomy 2: 33-34
Judges 21: 10
1 Samuel 15:2-3

Thanks in advance.

There's a lot of jokes surrounding the 'do not be afraid' message that Angels often carry, especially in the new testament, where the Angels take on a much more human form.
But there's one crucial fact that often goes overlooked when talking about Angels.

Angels aren't benevolent, they're weapons of war.

They are the messengers of God, the instrument that operates to his orders.
He, a being that is described as omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, chooses to not only not engage with us directly, but send more of his creations to interact with his kind.
Angels throughout history, were described as being seen only as tools of intervention at the best of times, and impending annihilation at worst.
They are the blaring sirens warning of an incoming bomber squadron, the screaming alarms foretelling the very forces of nature have turned against us, and are on their way.

But Angels are different than just mere warning systems.
Because warning systems don't originate from the flood, nor from the hurricane nor bombing raid.
No, Angels are merely a "heads up".
A "judgement will be upon you soon, repent".
They are the carriers of terror tactics hither to unseen in our world bar the worst distillations of societal control.

It is every time that i hear about or read the brutal reality of this being, of God, i am reminded of this.
That God is often described as a benevolent and just god, one that weighs your actions, against a pre-established norm, and either rewards or punishes you for them.
But beyond the veil of kindness and compassion, lies the same nigh-omnipotent being that sends his generals out before the main force, not with a compromise, not with an ultimatum or any semblance of choice, but with a simple 'This is what is about to happen to you. Don't bother preparing, it won't help'.
And were i to pour those characteristics into a much more Human shaped mould, i can't help but fear that their figure would resemble one whose name was feared in their own time in history.

It is said that God created man in his own image.
And looking at Humanity, and the darkest reaches of unmorality our kind is often more than willing to tread, i sadly cannot help but to agree.

When you approach the Biblical narrative from outside of the churchā€™s perspective you find some pretty interesting information as to why ā€œGodā€ was so evil in the Old Testament.

The Gnostics basically believe impostor entities convicted man they were God. These entities are essentially devils of sorts. They knew man would eventually evolve into gods themselves and would challenge their dominance so these impostors attempt to stifle manā€™s ascension through various means, mind controlling man with lackluster religions being one method.

The Law Of One is a channeled work where an extraterrestrial consciousness, Ra, is asked many questions about the nature of reality. They give a narrative that at points in the Old Testament man gave the title of ā€œGodā€ to several different imperfect entities that were lacking in alinement with the will of The Source. Many of these beings intended positivity but were imperfect in their methods.

In one instance, however, the entity being worshiped was a highly negatively polarized entity, one some would call a demon. This was the entity that led Moses and the Israelites on a genocidal warpath through Canaan. This entity lied, claiming to be God, and intended to use the Israelites to create an empire to subjugate and enslave the rest of the world. The entity failed in its attempt and was repelled off planet by positive forces. Many of the Israelites themselves saw the evil in this entity and tried to stop the worship of it, like queen Delilah.

This negative entity did a number on the religious beliefs of the jews however, and created deep pollution within their ideologies that would last for millennia. Jesus eventually came up against this pollution manifested in the Pharisees. This is why the Phariseesā€™ beliefs conflicted so much with Jesusā€˜s beliefs. Ra says the entity Jesus called ā€œFatherā€ was a rather accurate depiction of The Source for a human level of consciousness.
