Mania
Babel Fish Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And there she was, she had a sip
I tried to light a smoke but it was lit
I couldn't help but watch her eyes
They were incapable of telling lies
Felt hypnotized

[Chorus:]
A mania
Insania for you
Lost in you
A mania
Invainia for you
Lost without you

She didn't zap her life away
She lived a technicolor life all day
A kiss of life, a taste of death
I suffocated couldn't catch my breath
Catch my breath

[Chorus:]

I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep
I couldn't smile at her, I could not weep
She couldn't help but watch my eyes
She saw her desperate man that she despised
That she despised

[Chorus:]

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Babel Fish's song "Mania" depict a state of overwhelming infatuation towards someone. The singer describes encountering a woman who captivates him right away, with her eyes being an especially alluring quality that he finds hypnotic. He expresses a feeling of being lost without her and goes as far as to describe his obsession as a "mania" and "insania." The relationship seems to be tumultuous, with the woman living a vivid and adventurous life while the singer is left suffocated and unable to catch his breath.

The chorus repeats the idea of the singer's mania for the woman, highlighting his desperation and longing for her. He seems to acknowledge that he is trapped by his own obsession and cannot escape it, describing it as a "taste of death."

@jorgemarijuan5349

Inolvidable!

@chema95011

this song was very successful in spain.

@pedroricote5651

@chema95011

@Lostmusicvideos

Sounds like it could have been more of a hit worldwide if it got more airplay

@fherlm8788

Siempre me va a encantar esta canción...muchos recuerdos

@MacElMasMancoDeTodos

@misterkoke

@fernandabluntkrasinski9026
