Baby Alpaca Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You said I was a boozer
I'm not going anywhere
Don't Care
what you think with your little mind
you dont feel like I feel
and I'm feelin' fine
Drivin' with a blind fold
Don't need a hand to hold
Don't need a hand to hold
I've got a wild side
Maybe you should know
We're never goin' home
We're never goin' home
You said I was a loser
You said I was a user
You said that I live in fear
Do I look afraid?
Standin' strong, Standin' brave
Ready to accept my fate
Ready to accept my fate
I'm feelin' wild child
Driving with a blind fold
Don't need a hand to hold
Don't need a hand to hold
I've got a wild side
Maybe you should know
We're never goin' home
We're never goin' home
My mom says that it's a means to an end
That I'm never gonna win
But I keep on churnin'
She says she's afraid for the da when I end up dead
I love living in the red
living day to day it's my wage
Freedom, my play
I'm feelin' wild child
Drivin' with a blind fold
Don't need a hand to hold
Don't need a hand to hold
I've got a wild side
Maybe you should know
We're never going home
We're never going home
Never goin' home
Never goin' home
Never goin' home
Never goin' home
Never goin' home
Never goin' home
(outro)
The lyrics of the song Wild Child by Baby Alpaca are about embracing one’s wild and carefree side, despite being judged and criticized for it by others. The song starts with the singer recounting what someone said about him, calling him a loser and a boozer, and that he isn’t going anywhere. However, he states that he doesn't care what that person thinks with their "little mind" because they don't feel the way he feels, and he's feeling fine. The singer then embraces his wild side, stating that he doesn't need anyone to hold his hand and that he has a wild side others should know about. He goes on to say that he's never going home, indicating a love for the freedom his wild side offers him.
In the following verse, the singer mentions his mother's fear for his life and how she thinks he's going to end up dead. He acknowledges that he’s living in the red and that living day-to-day is his wage. He's embracing his life and freedom, even if it's not conventional. The song ends with the repetition of the chorus, with the singer declaring that he's never going home.

I still love this song more then anything I have heard for a long time, found it 3 months ago and it still tears right through me like no other song. Whatever you were feeling and going through you captured it in the most beautiful and perfect way, thank you for creating this, sharing this, and taking me to a very happy place very close to my heart and making me feel like its ok.

Hopefully, growing interest and affection for actual baby Alpacas will lead people to excellent song and band. This song and video are vastly better than most that go "viral."

This song deserves at least 10 million viewers

Well, so let's be thankful that it has not! Unfortunately, everything that is too popular, becomes ordinary, loses value, identity and independence. I know bands like this one deserve much more recognition, but I still like the idea of this band being one of my little-known jewels. Mainly here in Brazil...
