His career started when he joined the rap groups Potna Deuce and Latino Velvet out of Vallejo, but took off when he went to Houston, Texas, and met a rapper named South Park Mexican and joined the all-star group Lone Star Ridaz, which shortly after, added another Vallejo rapper known as Merciless (Funky Aztecs) AKA Merc100Man. His first solo album, Savage Dreams, was released on the Dope House Records independent label in 2001. He was signed by Universal Records later that year. In 2003, Baby Bash released his first album on a major label, entitled Tha Smokin' Nephew: Chopped & Screwed and followed it up with Super Saucy in 2005.

Latino Robert DeNiro
Fly ? in your life
Fly ? in your life
Fly
Welcome to Bashtown, where we put that smash down
The corporation up, ready when the music blast now
I'm just a cash cow
It's Dope House, Latino Velvetism trapped out
'Cause I'm a ice breaker
And I'm a odds maker
And I'm a law breaker, jaw breaker, a salt shaker
And that's a hater hoe
If you think that's the way to go
Bet you hate yourself too, livin' so deflatable
And I don't need a goon
To hit you with the doom
To bust you in the pussy mouth and pop, your balloon
I'm so definitive
Game tight is what I give
The way I kept this bitch, finnin' show you how I live
I'm on the next flight
Smokin' on kryptonite
They try to hold the Mexi down, but we gon' get it right
I got some SPM
I got some new Lucky
Some sick Stooie Bros. Shit, now you gon' really love it
So we gon' hold it how we fold it, stack it til the end
Some say "What's upper" to a player made Mexican
So we gon' hold it how we fold it, stack it til the end
Some say "What's upper" to a player made Mexican...
The introductory lyrics to Baby Bash's song "Intro" consist of a few short but powerful lines that set the tone for the rest of the song. The first line, "It's the unsung hero, Latino Robert DeNiro," is a nod to the iconic actor and how many Latinos have been underappreciated and overlooked in Hollywood. The following line, "Fly? in your life," is open to interpretation but seems to suggest that Baby Bash is going to bring a special something to his listeners' lives that will make them feel "fly" or cool. The repetition of "fly" emphasizes this idea and adds a sense of confidence to the lyrics.
The next lines introduce Baby Bash's "Bashtown," a place where he is in control and ready to make things happen. He compares himself to a "cash cow" and the Dope House to "Latino Velvetism trapped out," creating an image of a successful and lucrative operation. The next few lines are filled with boasts about being an "odds maker" and a "law breaker" and the implication that anyone who doubts his abilities is a "hater hoe." Overall, the lyrics seem to be setting up Baby Bash as a powerful and confident figure who is proud of his Latino heritage and his ability to make things happen.
