Babylon Bombs Lyrics

Paint the night with your hair spray
Your soul is restless and your life's a bitch
You're knocked down with your head in the ditch
Yeah!
You gotta get, gotta get out of here
You'll never let 'em get to you
As a matter of fact
You think your life is jaded
And all your chances are fading
Oh Oh
Liberation
...
You stand proud with you heart on your sleeve
Pushed around but still you believe
Your friends are lame and you teacher's a drag
You feel trapped in a body bag
Yeah!
You gotta get, gotta get out of here
The dark thought is your greatest fear
You'll never let 'em get to you
As a matter of fact
You think your life is jaded
And all your chances are fading
Oh Oh
Liberation
Oh Oh
Gotta break free now
Break the cage
Set yourself free
Liberation
...
Liberation
Oh Oh
Liberation
Gotta break free now
Break the cage
Set yourself free
Liberation
The song Liberation by Babylon Bombs is about feeling trapped and in need of escape, be it from a difficult situation or a mundane everyday life. The lyrics express a sense of urgency and desperation to break free and start anew. The first verse talks about how time is running out, and the need to take control of one's life. The phrase "paint the night with your hair spray" is a metaphor for making a statement and being bold. The singer acknowledges that life is tough and may knock you down, but the key is to not give up and keep pushing forward.
The chorus, with the repeating phrase "Liberation," is a call to action and serves as a reminder of the goal in mind. The second verse is about feeling misunderstood and trapped in one's own body or environment, unable to fully express oneself. Still, there is a glimmer of hope in the belief that change is possible and that one can break free from these limitations. The bridge emphasizes this need for freedom and the release from mental and physical confinements.
Overall, Liberation is an empowering song that encourages listeners to take control of their lives, overcome obstacles, and pursue their dreams.

This was among the best Swedish glam/sleaze bands. Far more musically inventive than the others. Really sad they didn't last.
