Founded in Milan in 1989 with a project called Mail Art, after producing some dance hits in the middle of the 90s and playing many concerts all over Italy supporting international acts as Melotron and Client, Babylonia released their first single Without Asking Me (EMI Capitol / People Music) at the end of 2003.
LATER TONIGHT is the long-awaited debut album combining great melodies, catchy hooks and synthetic sounds in 13 songs that appeal not only to electronic pop music fans, but to anybody who likes great pop songs. The album featured the 3 singles Catch Me, Something Epic and That Bit Lie.
At the end of 2005 Babylonia signed a worldwide deal with the German label INFACTED RECORDINGS for the release in the early 2006 of an international version of LATER TONIGHT including 4 new bonus tracks.
The band is currently working on the second album.
New Day
Babylonia Lyrics

You're welcome
On this little rock called earth
A new day
Will wrap a ray of sunlight
All around me
New day
Come back to visit me
A new day
To find a place somewhere
In this world
There's no reason to be afraid
We all need a good fairy tale
Here we come and go like shooting stars
New day
Is coming thru my window
And I pray
A new day
Will pass away
I'm not sure I'll understand
Babylon's song "New Day" is a beautiful representation of hope, new beginnings, and acceptance of the past. The song essentially speaks of a new day dawning, and the beauty and positivity that come along with it. The song says that "you're welcome on this little rock called earth" - almost like an invitation to the listener to experience the new day and live life to the fullest. The first paragraph talks about how the new day will wrap a ray of sunlight all around the singer, which is a beautiful way to describe the positivity and warmth that comes with a new day.
The second paragraph talks about old memories coming back to visit the singer, but in the context of a new day. The singer is welcoming the old memories, and looking for a place somewhere in this world for them. This part of the song shows that the singer is accepting of their past and is ready to move on, but not forget where they came from. There is a line that says "we all need a good fairy tale" which I think is really beautiful - it speaks to the idea that sometimes we need a little bit of magic and hope in our lives, and that it's okay to believe in happy endings even when things aren't going well.
The chorus of the song talks about the new day coming through the window, and the singer praying that it will "pass away." This line is interesting because it's not entirely clear what the singer means by it. It could be that they are hoping the new day will bring closure to something that has been lingering, or it could be that they are hoping the new day will be a fresh start entirely. Overall, the song is about embracing the present and using the new day as an opportunity to start anew.
