Ódiame
Bambino Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

ódiame por piedad yo te lo pido
odiame sin medida ni clemencia
odio quiero mas que indiferencia por que
el rencor quiere menos que el olvido

odiame por piedad yo te lo pido
odiame sin medida ni clemencia
odio quiero mas que indiferencia por que
el rencor quiere menos que el olvido

si tu me odias quedare yo convencido

si tu me odias quedare yo convencido
de que me amaste mujer con insistencia

pero ten presente deacuerdo a la experiencia
que tan solo se odia lo querido

pero ten presente deacuerdo a la experiencia
que tan solo se odia lo querido

Overall Meaning

"Bambino's song Odiame" is a romantic ballad that speaks about the complexities of love, and how even hatred or resentment can stem from it. The song starts with a plea for the singer to be hated by his or her lover. The singer begs the lover to hate him or her without mercy, and even more than being ignored, for he or she believes that hatred is a sign that the lover once cared or loved the singer.

The chorus line says that only something loved or cared for can be truly hated. If the lover hates the singer, it is proof that he or she loved the singer with persistence. The following stanza seems to question the worth of different factors in a relationship, such as pride and beauty, in comparison to genuine love. The singer reminds the lover that in death, they will both wear the same clothing and that material possessions will be meaningless.

Overall, the song is an emotional and reflective piece that speaks about the complexity of love, and how it can result in both passion and hatred. It highlights how emotions can be difficult to deconstruct and understand, especially when one's feelings toward a loved one have seemingly shifted.

He is the great Spanish singer Bambino! this song is a Rumba flamenca (in this case it is Rumba dramatica because of the lyrics... "Hate me") But the original song comes from Peru and it was a Peruvian vals. This is a cover but in "flamenco" style and it was covered also as a bolero by other Latin artists
