Barbra Streisand has recorded more than 60 albums, almost all with Columbia Records. Her early works in the 1960s (her debut The Barbra Streisand Album which won two Grammy Awards in 1963, followed by The Second Barbra Streisand Album, The Third Album, My Name Is Barbra, etc.) are considered classic renditions of theater and nightclub standards, including her version of Happy Days Are Here Again. Beginning with My Name Is Barbra, her albums were often medley-filled keepsakes of her television specials.
Starting in 1969, Streisand tackled contemporary songwriters; like many talented singers of the day, she found herself a fish out of water in attempts to tackle rock, but her vocal talents prevailed and she gained newfound success with the pop and ballad-oriented Richard Perry-produced album Stoney End in 1971. The title track, written by Laura Nyro, was a big hit for Streisand.
Streisand's 1980 album, Guilty featured the songwriting, production and vocal talents of Barry Gibb and was the best-selling album of her recording career. During the 1970s, she was also highly prominent in the pop charts, with number-one records like The Way We Were, Evergreen, No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) (her duet with Donna Summer), and Woman In Love; some of these came from soundtracks of her films. She recently took part in supporting Haiti in singing "We are the World 25th anniversary.
When the 1970s ended, Streisand was named the most successful female singer in the U.S. - only Elvis Presley and The Beatles having sold more albums. [1]
[1] In 1982, New York Times music critic Stephen Holden wrote that Streisand was "the most influential mainstream American pop singer since Frank Sinatra."

Sight and the sound (sight and the sound, sight and the sound)
Roller coaster (coaster)
That merry-go-round (merry-go-round, merry-go-round)
We can't wait for that show to start
That fire, that feeling, your heartbeat
We have what others can't tear apart, taking over
And nothing can get in my way
And love is a river and river is ocean
Take of your pleasure and all that you cry for
I go to the wall for the night of my life
I play every game that you play
I shout out my struggles and send out a message to you
No early warning, I'm under the radar
Closer (closer)
Sight and the sound (sight and the sound, sight and the sound)
Roller coaster (coaster)
And baby, no one would go that far
To close all those doors behind us
And to the top of the world we climb, taking over
I fight to the end for the night of my life
And nothing can get in my way
I shout out my struggles and send out a message to you
No early warning, I'm under the radar
Calling love
(Calling love)
Take me to the love
(Calling love)
Take me to the morning
(Calling love)
I fight to the end for the night of my life
And nothing can stand in my way
And love has a color and colors are many
Blue is for lonely and red is for danger
I go to the wall for the night of my life
I play every game that you play
I shout out my struggles and send out a message to you
No early warning, I'm under the radar
Calling love
(Calling love)
Take me to the love
(Calling love)
Ain't no early warning
(Calling love)
Tell me what I do for you
(Calling love)
Calling love
(Calling love)
Get me to the love
(Calling love)
Tell me that you want it
(Calling love)
Tell me what I do for you
You're closer (closer)
Sight and the sound (sight and the sound, sight and the sound)
Roller coaster (coaster)
That merry-go-round (merry-go-round, merry-go-round)
Barbra Streisand's song All Of My Life is a song about finding that special someone who truly understands you and completes you. The lyrics depict two loners, alone in the dark and drawn to each other, who find solace and comfort in one another. The song tells a story about the journey of two individuals coming together to form a loving relationship filled with mutual understanding and devotion.
The first verse portrays two people, parallel lines that touched one another, drawing close to each other without speaking. The second verse displays the yearning of discovery and the willingness to share all aspects of life with another. The chorus illustrates the joy which comes from finding someone special who can read your thoughts and understand your feelings. The bridge shows the depth of trust and love when two people become one, seeing their reflections in each other's eyes.
One interesting fact about this song is that it was released in 1981 as part of her album Memories. All Of My Life was a sentimental ballad that resonated with many people and even today, it remains one of Barbra Streisand's most popular songs. Another fun fact is that this song was actually written and composed by none other than Barbra Streisand herself.
All Of My Life also enjoy its popularity in movies and television shows being used in the soundtrack of the 2005 movie Must Love Dogs and the TV series Glee. The song is considered to be one of the best examples of Streisand's pop music, which was different from her usual Broadway hits.
