My Heart Will Go On
Barbra Streisand and CĂ©line Dion Lyrics

I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more, you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go 'til we're gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life, we'll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on (why does the heart go on?)
Once more, you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on, mm
You're here, there's nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart and
My heart will go on and on
Mm-mm
The song My Heart Will Go On, performed by Barbra Streisand and CĂ©line Dion, is a powerful ballad that talks about the enduring nature of love. The lyrics start with the singer saying that every night in their dreams, they see and feel the presence of their loved one who has passed away. But despite the physical separation, the person's presence persists, and that is how the singer knows that their beloved lives on.
The second verse talks about the distances between the two, which are both physical and emotional. However, through it all, the loved one continues to be a guiding presence in the singer's life. The chorus then combines both the themes of presence and endurance as the singer acknowledges that love can last a lifetime and that even though the person is gone, they are always in the singer's heart.
The third verse speaks of a specific moment in time when the singer loved their partner, and that memory is one that they'll always hold onto. The song concludes with the singer boldly stating that their heart will go on and that their loved one is safe in their heart forever.
Overall, the lyrics of My Heart Will Go On are poignant and heartfelt, capturing the essence of a love that transcends physical boundaries and endures even after the person is gone. It's a beautiful song that has touched many hearts and will continue to do so for years to come.

Celine Dion is a fabulous singer (she was 29 years old when this song was first recorded in 1997), but Barbra is immortal. The richness in Barbra's voice is unmatched by any female singer in the last 100 years at least. And she was already past her prime here at 55; nearly TWICE Celine's age. Simply astounding.
