1) Beaver is a stoner rock band from the Netherlands. Beaver gained some fame with a split EP with Queens of the Stone Age (Man's Ruin), when it was still just a Josh Homme side-project, not a band. They also backed Josh on his stoner-hymn "18 A.D" on the "Burn One Up" album.
2) Jonathan "Beaver" Sheppard, born in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada.
Known simply around town as Beaver, he makes low-fi bedroom 4-track songs with his guitar and pieces of drum kit lying around his apartment. Occasionally he'll tamper with sounds on his mpc2000 and fruity loops.
Live performances are epic, intimate, heart-warming and sincere. His spastic strumming, garbled and personal lyrics, and sometimes wailing vocals can be compared to that of Daniel Johnston.
Beaver has shared the stage with: Sunset Rubdown, Billy Childish, Xiu Xiu, Frog Eyes, Ris Paul Rick, Think About Life and many others.
3) Beaver was an early 80s hardcore punk band from the US. They released one self-titled 7" in 1981.
4) Beaver is a 80's roots hardcore meets 90's punk revival from Adelaide, Australia. http://www.facebook.com/beaverofficial
5) BEAVER is a modern hardcore/screamo band from Krakow, Poland.

Drown
Beaver Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm ready to float
Ready to let your force take me over
To holler down rapids
I'm all prepared to drown
Liquid shapes
I make my way down
To never surface again
I hardly want to hold on anymore
The deep blue yonder keeps calling
Then I let go
The undertow is so strong
Liquid shaped
I can stay under
So long
& never surface again
In the song "Drown" by Beaver, the lyrics depict the singer as being ready to give themselves over to a force greater than themselves. The lyrics suggest that the singer is looking for an escape, and is willing to be taken by the force in order to find it. The idea of drowning is used as a metaphor for being consumed by these feelings or forces. The singer is "psyched up" and "ready to float", which could imply a willingness to let go and allow themselves to be carried away.
The lyrics suggest that the singer is prepared to confront and embrace the dangers they might encounter. They are "all prepared to drown", but they do not seem to be afraid. The idea of "liquid shapes" suggests that the singer is washed away by water, and it seems to be a powerful experience. The phrase "never surface again" suggests that the singer is willing to completely let go of their old self and be reborn, giving themselves over completely to their emotions and feelings.
Overall, the song appears to be about confronting fears and allowing oneself to be consumed by something greater than oneself. The lyrics express the desire to escape, and the willingness to take any risk to do so. The metaphor of drowning is used to suggest the idea of being consumed completely, but also to indicate that this is not something to be afraid of.
