Throughout his musical career, Becko has been associated with various bands, including Hopes Die Last (2004-2015), Dungeon Elite (2006-2014), A Fallen Star, and A Perfect Tragedy, where he served as a vocalist and bass player. However, he eventually ventured into his solo project, focusing on electronic dance music (EDM) production. He currently has a side-project with half It's Different called XO SAD.
Becko's music draws influences from a diverse range of genres, including EDM, hip-hop, industrial, and emo rock. His musical influences trace back to the iconic band Linkin Park, whose ability to blend diverse genres served as a source of inspiration for Becko's own artistic exploration.
"Run Away" delves into the profound themes of toxic relationships and their impact on individuals and society as a whole. Although the song is not autobiographical, it draws inspiration from the experiences of friends and the emotions he observed in them.
Throughout his career, Becko has worked with notable record labels, including Warner Italy, Universal Italy, Monstercat, Lowly Palace and Smash The House. In early 2020, he signed a multi-album deal with FiXT, an independent electronic-rock label based in the United States.
Since then, Becko has released the full-length album "INNER SELF" in 2020, which showcased a fusion of trap and metal elements. In 2021, he unveiled a series of singles, including "Darkest Days," produced by Mike Shinoda, as a prelude to his second full-length trap-metal album with FiXT titled "You Are (Not) Alone". Currently, Becko is in the process of unveiling his latest concept album, "Present Day//Present Time," characterized by a 90s-inspired aesthetic, with the lead single "Home" paving the way for its anticipated full release in 2023. Looking ahead, Becko has ambitious plans for the coming year, aiming to release three new albums.

I'm not vibrating like I ought to be
I need a purpose, I can't keep surfing
Through this existential misery
Now we're gonna need some real estate
But if I choose my words carefully
Think I could fool you that I'm the guru?
Wait, how do you spell epiphany?
Before the truth will set you free, it'll piss you off
Before you find a place to be, you're gonna lose the plot
Too late to tell you now, one ear and right out the other one
'Cause all you ever do is chant the same old mantra
Yeah
Could I have your attention, please?
It's time to tap into your tragedy
Think you could use a new abuser
Close your eyes and listen carefully
Imagine you're stood on a beach
Water gently lapping at your feet
But now you're sinking, what were you thinking?
That's all the time we have this week
Before the truth will set you free, it'll piss you off
Before you find a place to be, you're gonna lose the plot
Too late to tell you now, one ear and right out the other one
'Cause all you ever do is chant the same old mantra
And I know this doesn't make a lot of sense
But do you really wanna think about yourself now?
All I'm asking for's a little bit of faith
You know it's easy to believe
And I know this doesn't make a lot of sense
You know you gotta work the corners of your mind now
All I'm asking for's a little bit of faith
You know it's easy to, so easy to believe
Before the truth will set you free, it'll piss you off
Before you find a place to be, you're gonna lose the plot
Before the truth will set you free, it'll piss you off
Before you find a place to be, you're gonna lose the plot
Too late to tell you now, one ear and right out the other one
'Cause all you ever do is chant the same old mantra
Oh
In Becko's song "Mantra," the lyrics convey a sense of seeking purpose and meaning in life. The opening line, "Do you wanna start a cult with me?" suggests a desire for a community or group that shares a common belief or purpose. The singer admits to feeling a lack of vibrancy and a need for something more fulfilling. They express a longing for a purpose that goes beyond aimless surfing through the existential misery of life.
The lyrics also touch upon the idea of self-deception and the power of words. The singer contemplates the possibility of pretending to be a guru, using carefully chosen words to fool others. This highlights the quest for significance and the willingness to manipulate or bend the truth to achieve it. The line, "Wait, how do you spell epiphany?" underscores the irony of seeking enlightenment or a profound realization without fully understanding its essence.
The chorus warns of the challenges that come with searching for truth and finding one's place in the world. It acknowledges that the truth may initially provoke anger or frustration before leading to liberation. The repetition of the phrase "all you ever do is chant the same old mantra" suggests a sense of stagnation or the futility of repeating the same patterns without finding true fulfillment.
Overall, "Mantra" explores themes of searching for purpose, the power of words, and the complexity of self-discovery. It encourages listeners to question their motivations, beliefs, and the narratives they hold onto, urging them to embrace faith and open their minds to new possibilities.
