Throughout his musical career, Becko has been associated with various bands, including Hopes Die Last (2004-2015), Dungeon Elite (2006-2014), A Fallen Star, and A Perfect Tragedy, where he served as a vocalist and bass player. However, he eventually ventured into his solo project, focusing on electronic dance music (EDM) production. He currently has a side-project with half It's Different called XO SAD.
Becko's music draws influences from a diverse range of genres, including EDM, hip-hop, industrial, and emo rock. His musical influences trace back to the iconic band Linkin Park, whose ability to blend diverse genres served as a source of inspiration for Becko's own artistic exploration.
"Run Away" delves into the profound themes of toxic relationships and their impact on individuals and society as a whole. Although the song is not autobiographical, it draws inspiration from the experiences of friends and the emotions he observed in them.
Throughout his career, Becko has worked with notable record labels, including Warner Italy, Universal Italy, Monstercat, Lowly Palace and Smash The House. In early 2020, he signed a multi-album deal with FiXT, an independent electronic-rock label based in the United States.
Since then, Becko has released the full-length album "INNER SELF" in 2020, which showcased a fusion of trap and metal elements. In 2021, he unveiled a series of singles, including "Darkest Days," produced by Mike Shinoda, as a prelude to his second full-length trap-metal album with FiXT titled "You Are (Not) Alone". Currently, Becko is in the process of unveiling his latest concept album, "Present Day//Present Time," characterized by a 90s-inspired aesthetic, with the lead single "Home" paving the way for its anticipated full release in 2023. Looking ahead, Becko has ambitious plans for the coming year, aiming to release three new albums.
Running Up That Hill

Do you want to feel how it feels?
Do you want to know that it doesn't hurt me?
Do you want to hear about a deal that I'm making?
It's you and me
If I only could
And I'd get him to swap our places
Running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
If I only could
You wanna hurt me
See how deep the bullet lies
Unaware, I'm tearing you asunder
Oh, there is thunder in our hearts
Is there so much hate for the ones we love?
Oh, tell me, we both matter, don't we?
You
It's you and me
It's you and me, won't be unhappy
If I only could
Make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
If I only could
Come on, baby
Oh, come on, darling
Let me steal this moment from you now
Oh, come on, angel
Come on, come on, darling
Let's exchange the experience
If I only could
Make a deal with God
And I'd get him to swap our places
Running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
If I only could
The lyrics of Becko's song "Running Up That Hill" convey a sense of longing, desperation, and a desire for change. The singer opens with a declaration that the situation they are in does not hurt them, questioning if the listener wants to understand their feelings. The lyrics suggest a struggle with pain and a yearning for empathy and connection. The mention of making a deal alludes to a desire for a drastic change in circumstances.
The singer expresses a wish to swap places with another person, symbolically representing a desire for a different perspective or a change of fate. The repeated references to running up a hill, road, and building emphasize the challenge and difficulty of the situation they are in. The imagery of running uphill can be seen as a metaphor for the obstacles they face in trying to reach a resolution or a new beginning.
The mention of feeling hurt and the depth of pain resonates with a sense of vulnerability and emotional turmoil. The lyrics touch on themes of love, hate, and the complexities of relationships. The plea to be understood and to matter suggests a deep emotional need for recognition and acknowledgment in a relationship that may be strained or troubled.
The final verses express a sense of urgency and a plea for a moment of connection and understanding. The repeated refrain of wanting to make a deal with God to change their circumstances underscores the desperation for a transformative shift. The lyrics express a yearning for reconciliation, a willingness to exchange experiences, and a longing for a different outcome. Overall, the song conveys a mix of emotions - from pain and despair to hope and a desire for change and understanding in a relationship.

I just wanna say I’ve been listening to you for a few months now & it’s been a pleasure. Your music has helped me get through/overcome some things I’ve been going through & I just want to say that I genuinely appreciate what you do & the lyrics you have. Very relatable music & your vocals are just the icing on the cake. Growing up listening to both metal AND techno/trance music, your style captivates it all so well. I’m also a producer & you honestly motivate me to just be myself & producing what I like instead of what “everyone’s into”. Thanks again man. Much love from Florida.
