Their first album "Cocktail" was released in 2003. The first single called "Tus Ojos" had massive airplay on TV, being used on a Mitsubishi TV spot.
In 2005, they released their second album called "Dulce Beat", with the singles "Me Pregunto", "Por ti", and "Rosa Pastel" this album allowed them to become known in various Latin American countries and the United States, and even got them their first Latin Grammy nomination.
Their music and their music videos which played on MTV Latin America became very well known and popular and even used in various commercials and TV spots. Their success was such that they were picked by Disney to record a Spanish version of the song "What I've Been Waiting For" called "Eres Tú" for the Latin American version of the High School Musical soundtrack.
Their 3rd album "Fantasia Pop" was released in 2007, with singles such as "Baila Mi Corazón" "Cada Que..." and "One, Two, Three, GO!" it was certified gold just 3 days after it released. The success of the album was such that they became the most requested band in Mexico that year.
During the early 2010s they released two albums "Sueño Electro I" and "Sueño Electro II", both albums were recorded simultaneously but were released on different dates, 2010 & 2011 respectively. The sound of these albums was similar to their previous work but with some experimental elements such as ranchera and mariachi music and got the band their second Latin Grammy nomination.
The band also has several live albums such as "Dulce Beat Live", "Tour Fantasía Pop", and "Canciones Para La Luna", the last of which featured re-imagined versions of their songs accompanied by a symphonic band and special guests such as Javier Blake.
Their sixth and latest album called "Viaje Al Centro Del Corazón" was released in 2018 after which the band went on a undefined break. In 2020 Edgar Huerta, the band's keyboardist confirmed the band was to return with new music and performances for the band's 20th anniversary.
In 2023 Denisse Guerrero, the band's vocalist hinted at a possible tour on an Instagram story post, the band currently has various music festival performances booked for 2024.

The lyrics of Belanova's song "No Me Voy A Morir" speak of a person who is feeling the pain of a lost love. The song opens with the person talking to themselves, even though no one is there to reply. They are looking out of the window, watching people pass by, and trying to convince themselves that they are not going to die, that they are not going to change just because their love is gone. Although they admit that sometimes their heart betrays them, they are determined to soldier on.
The next verse talks about the person talking to themselves in front of a mirror, admitting that nothing has changed, and that they are still in pain. They see the moon shining through their window, which might be a symbol that even in the dark times, there is still light to be found if they look for it. The chorus repeats, the person refusing to change just because their love is gone, and reminding themselves that it doesn't hurt, it's just their heart sometimes betraying them.
The bridge talks about all the things that remind them of their lost love, from old letters to broken dreams, to the stars in the sky and the memories of the things they promised to do together. They mention songs they used to listen to and books they forgot about, and admit that all of these things are just memories now, because their love is not with them anymore. The song ends with the chorus repeating, a defiant cry that they will not change, they will not die, they will keep going, no matter what.

Ese vídeo lo grabaron en un lugar que se llama Peña de Lobos, y cuando llegaron sus camionetas y todo el equipo, yo estaba con mi hermana... Yo 13 años y ella 22, y fuimos corriendo a ver quienes bajaban, y Denisse toda linda, dijo que el lugar era perfecto, y felicito a los productores y todo el equipo que iba con ellos.
