Bella DeNapoli Lyrics

Lyrics
Party girls don′t get hurt
Can't feel anything, when will I learn?
I push it down, push it down
I′m the one "for a good time call"
Phone's blowin' up, ringin′ my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
Throw ′em back 'til I lose count
I′m gonna swing from the chandelier
The chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn′t exist
It doesn't exist
I′m gonna fly like a bird in the night
Feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier
The chandelier
I'm going to swing from the, swing from the
Chandelier
I′m holding on for tonight
Won′t look down won't open my eyes

Keep my glass full until morning light
I′m holding on for tonight

Overall Meaning

Bella DeNapoli's song "Chandelier" unveils the story of a party girl whose life revolves around the thrill of the moment. The song starts with the party girl seeming invincible, establishing that party girls don't get hurt, but she is yet to learn that it is not the truth. The girl numbs her emotional pain by drowning herself in alcohol, pushing down her emotions instead of dealing with them. She is the one everyone calls to have a good time, and her phone keeps ringing, and she keeps swinging from the chandelier. The repetition of 'One, two, three, drink, throw 'em back 'til I lose count' highlights that she is not in control of her drinking.

The chorus signifies that the girl wants to live her life just for the moment, without worrying about the future. She wants to fly like a bird in the night and swing from the chandelier. The line, "Feel my tears as they dry," portrays that she wants to let out the pain she feels inside through her actions. The girl is holding on for dear life until the morning light, hoping that the high from last night will get her through the day.

Overall, the song "Chandelier" highlights the story of a girl who wants to escape her emotions and live in the moment. The repetition of the phrase "I'm gonna swing from the chandelier," signifies the girl's desire to escape her reality and live a life free of worries.

I’m shocked more people didn’t love Bella’s performance as much as I did, she showed a smoother side to her voice that I really enjoyed. Also enjoyed Katherine sad she didn’t get a steal

After that battle we expected more. It was good, it's just not the standard we expected

@Built2Fast Both were out of tune. Listen again. But it doesn't matter, Bella's performance was awesome indeed, she's a terrific singer! Katherine was too nervous maybe? Idk

Built2Fast

Bella’s performance was awesome. These folks talking about her high notes were off (wtf). Katherine’s high notes were the ones that were drawn out and sounded strained. Her song did not suit her.

@Nolukhanyo Donyeli yep. Out of tune, unfortunately. But it was a difficult song 🤷🏻‍♀️
