Beloved was an American post-hardcore band from Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Beloved recorded and released their debut EP, The Running (on the now defunct Vindicated Records), when they were only in their teens (Josh was only 16 at the time of recording). They caught the attention of Solid State Records and shifted their sound towards melodic hardcore while retaining the emo influences of their youth. In 2003 they released their debut full-length, Failure On.
In 2004, drummer Joe Musten got married, and determined that it would not be possible to continue to tour with the band. They discussed replacements, but ultimately determined that the band's sound was largely defined by Joe and they could not continue under the name of Beloved.
On January 14th, 2005, in their hometown, they played their final show, along with Classic Case, Underoath, Glass Casket, and a surprise appearance by Norma Jean.
Guitarist Dusty currently plays in Dead Poetic and lead singer and guitarist Josh plays in Classic Case. The three remaining members went on to form Advent.
2) Beloved [origin UK]:
Beloved (also sometimes referred to as "The Beloved") are a British electronic / acid house / ambient techno group active from 1983, founded and fronted by Jon Marsh.
From 1986, Steve Waddington joined Marsh as a core part of the band to record the indie album debut, Where It Is, in 1987. Following a shift from freestyle to acid house, The Beloved were signed by WEA to produce Happiness in January 1990 and Blissed Out (a remix complement to Happiness, released at the close of that year; see link below).
Waddington departed as Jon's wife, Helena Marsh, joined in late 1992 for the third album Conscience, released early the following year. In 1996, The Beloved's fourth album of new material, X, was released, followed by a retrospective collection, Single File, issued by their label in 1997. Their signature acid house breakthrough, "Sun Rising" (see link below), has been remixed by DJs in several iterations since its original release in 1989. A remix collection aggregating these variations was released later.
The Beloved are best known for the singles "Forever Dancing", "Loving Feeling", "Your Love Takes Me Higher", "Hello", "Time After Time", "It's Alright Now", "Sweet Harmony", "Outerspace Girl", and "Ease the Pressure".
While no new material has been produced in over a decade as he moved into DJing, Jon has not officially brought closure to the Beloved name.

Praise
Beloved Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Don't worry bout what people think
It's not about us, it's all about Him
So let your praise begin
Throw your hands up
Wave em side to side
Turn around and slap a high five
Lift your voice in fearless praise
Kick it off it's time to dance, yeah
Right now here's your chance
So live it up, rise above, tear walls down, yeah
Walls come down when the praise goes up
Check it out, here's the 4-1-1
East to west, from dusk to dawn
Ride the rhythm, feel the melody
Holla out let me hear you sing
Throw your hands up
Wave em side to side
Turn around and slap a high five
Come on people have your say
Lift your voice in fearless praise
In Beloved's song "Praise," the lyrics encourage listeners to let go of concerns about other people's opinions and immerse themselves in the joy and devotion of praising God. The song starts by urging the audience to turn up the volume and feel the beat, emphasizing the importance of personal experience and connection. It highlights that praise is not about the individuals singing, but rather about honoring and glorifying God. This sets the tone for a celebratory and inclusive atmosphere, where everyone is invited to participate without fear or inhibition.
The lyrics also emphasize the physicality of worship by inviting listeners to throw their hands up, wave them side to side, turn around and give high fives, and even dance. This adds a sense of liveliness and engagement, allowing people to fully express their joy and enthusiasm for their faith. The song encourages individuals to rise above any barriers or walls that may exist, suggesting that praise has the power to break down divisions and bring people together.
Through the use of rhythmic language and catchy phrases, the lyrics create an atmosphere of energetic celebration. The song aims to inspire listeners to fully engage in the act of praising God, encouraging them to embrace their unique voices and lift them fearlessly. "Praise" ultimately serves as a reminder that worship is not just a solitary act, but a communal experience that unites believers and brings them closer to God.
