I have no idea why but by the time the song was finished. So was I. Had me just, tears down my face and questioning myself even though I've been working my butt off throughout the years and thinking about am I doing enough? Am I enough? Travelled around America doing gigs here and there. He once told me that if Americans love you they really do. And they'll let you know if they don't. You’re feeling it here because Stan and the background singers were able to tap into it as they have a connection to Africa (literally, even though it may or may not be known to them) and so it hits when an authentic connection is made.

We can always tell the difference between an authentic connection (tapping in) vs non-Blacks that simply like to imitate😂. Gospel and other forms of Black American music were made out of ancestral channeling (which has a variety of components), that’s why it’s so powerful.
