Oh my goodness...there is such tenderness in this song, especially in the chorus...

I just had to stop in here and say, you are an absolutely amazing artist and you sing songs, that I feel like "our generation" is just "too cool" or shy to sing anymore.
Long story short, I lost my younger sister, my only sibling and best friend earlier this year.
Needless to say, it's been the hardest experience of my life and I cannot even put it into words to lose your younger sibling, a younger sister, as an older brother.
Anyone else out there reading this, who knows that pain...you know what I mean. The loss of being that "protector" the sense of failure, the overcoming, heart crushing emptiness of the sibling you looked after all your life.
Well through this dark time, literally within the following week of her passing, I met the woman who, I wouldn't have guessed at the time, would become MY WIFE this coming Spring. She's two years older than me and befriended my parents at their church, she came by the house EVERY SINGLE day and checked in on my parents while I was busy grieving in my own way, or trying to keep the shambles of my life, my job, together. She was there for them, a complete stranger who just saw an older couple suffering.
I remember the first time I set my eyes on her, she stole the breath right out of my chest, no exaggeration, a 29 year old man feeling like a breathless teenager getting hit with the sight of his first crush lol.
A couple weeks later, I asked her out and the trip from then to now has been....in one word.......Inspirational. She continues to bring out the best of me, no matter how much time goes by.
I found a light in the darkest of the times and this song struck my love story, more than you will ever know Jacob.
I especially liked the part:
"I know they see us, but only at a glance
Only you know the man that I am beyond the surface"
Because that's exactly how I feel about my Fiance, she saw the darkest, most pain stricken, destroyed version of myself, I have confided more in her than anyone else in my life.
I remember worrying long ago, that there wouldn't be a part of me, left to love, after my sister passed. But she has shown me in thousands of ways...that my life will be long, happy and full of love, ahead of me.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you Jacob, that I heard this song last night and it made a grown man cry when he thought about standing next to his Fiance on that altar this spring.
It's for that reason, this exact song will be playing over our heads this Spring, while my beautiful wife-to-be, walks down that aisle with her father holding her hand and thousands of images of my future with the most amazing person in my world, flashing before me.

I'm 47 never been married, I always told myself I would never settle or marry just to get married. I finally found my best friend, my everything, the perfect woman, I just proposed Nov 17th, We will be getting married June 10 2023 and I cannot wait to see the most beautiful woman in the world walking down the aisle towards me to say our vows.
