1) Benefit - underground rapp… Read Full Bio ↴There are four artists with this name:
1) Benefit - underground rapper. Making his mark with winning the Napster competition, his entry "Power To The People And The Beats", Benefit, still highly unknown, is a highly talented young MC from Florida.
He is most famous for his track "Warp to World 6-9" also known as "Super Mario Bros. Freestyle", in which he raps about Super Mario's adventure in his video games as a quest to get the Princess's "goods".
With his only album release to date being B.E.N.E.F.I.T., watch out for any new releases. His second single from this album was "If I Had A Midget".
2) Duo Benefit are Lucy Harrison and Judy Hulme who live together in a flat in Camden, London. Born in 1979, they have been friends since the age of 10, and went to the same performing arts school together.
The girls haven't had any chart success in the UK, but their first single, "Sex Sells" was released in the Lebanon in 2002, and spent 6 weeks at #1. Also in Russia and Ukraine, the single had a huge success, a strong rotation and good position in the charts. The follow up single "What's It Gonna Be" (is a Latino-tinged track, which reminds a little of something that Geri Halliwell would do) achieved the same feat later that year. On top of this, the girls performed at a few music festivals in the Middle East, and they have the distinction of being the first western group to ever perform live in Syria.
The girls had problems with their UK record company Edel. Both singles were promoed in the UK, but neither got a proper release. Shame the girls never got the proper chance to try to repeat their foreign success in their homeland...
3) Benefit is a hardcore band from Zagreb, Croatia. The band is 5 piece made and kicking it since summer of 2010.
4) Benefit - Rock band from Czech Republic, formed in 70´s and still running !
5) Benefits are a noise rock band from the UK, characterised by their harsh sound and politically aware lyrics. They are incorrectly routed to this listing by last.fm

Benefit Lyrics

(Ernie) What's the matter Bert?
(Bert) I'm sick!
(Ernie) Oh yeah?
(Bert) I'm sick Ernie! Can't you tell that?
(Ernie) You're sick?
(Bert) I'm sick!
(Ernie) You're sick?
(Ernie) Then you caught it!
(Ernie) Boy you must know who it is who's sick!
(Benefit)
As my verse disperses the worst curses a person hurts worse
than the first virgin's privacy purse burstin
I walk around the underground as a powerful thundersound
Wearing the low down profound lyrical wonder crown
Advanced listening wrestlin with pressure expressions
And steppin in as a special specimen fresher than freshman
Obvious overdosage coasted it over oceans
With explosive posts flyer than your promotional posters
Skillfully killing willfully drilling syllable spilling
Feeling really upsettable biting is edible stealing
Walking around the planet, rocking the ground like granite
Cocking my sound cannon and topping the sound famine
Deliberate inconsiderate etiquette, Benefit's belligerence
Spitting shit like laxative excrement
Dove in a frozen ocean fell low below boastin
The one chosen who rose exposin the flow erosion
(Chorus - repeat 4X)
So nice that it's nasty, so bangin it's bustin
So sweet that it's sick, so dope it's disgustin
(Benefit)
I lead an expedition in vision and competition
In a prison when deliverin witherin rhyme litterin
Givin and never endeavoring ever clever however
bringin it whether together or on solo feathers
Sicker than liquor and medicine burnin and blisterin
Leave your lights flickering
quicker than strobes you're trippin in
The high appointed, style anointed with ill delivery ointment
On point with this like jointed presidential appointments
Flashin full fashionable rational lyrical passion
Glow bashin skulls burnin trash flows and watch ash grow
Belittling with little men livin in oblivion
Try batteling imaginin that they're hyper than Ritalin
Simply deranged brain exchanged pain for gain
Rearrange your frame to strange plain pattern with slain
Bigger badder and better than all of your gold and cheddar
When spreadin wing like medicine
Men with ancient tribal lettering
(Chorus)
(Ben) Sick, sick, so sick
(Bert) I'm sick, sick, sick!
(Ben) Sick, sick, so sick
The song "So Sick" by Benefit starts with a conversation between Sesame Street characters Bert and Ernie where Bert exclaims that he is sick. The rest of the song is a rap verse by Benefit where he uses various metaphors and wordplay to describe his lyrical prowess. He talks about how his verses are powerful and can hurt a person more than a virgin's first time being exposed. He also talks about his skills as a rapper, saying that he is fresher than a freshman and can rock the underground with his profound lyrics. The chorus then repeats the phrase "So nice that it's nasty, so bangin it's bustin. So sweet that it's sick, so dope it's disgustin", highlighting the theme that something can be so good that it's almost bad or sick.
Benefit continues his rap by describing himself as a leader who can compete with other rappers in a prison of words. He uses various similes and metaphors to describe his superiority over others, saying that he's sicker than liquor and medicine and quicker than strobe lights. He talks about his passion for music and how he burns trash flows and watches the ash grow. Benefit also notes that he is bigger, badder, and better than all others, spreading his wings like medicine and sporting ancient tribal lettering.
