No better way to see the world
Than with me, my love (hey)
So many books upon your shelf
Wait 'til I get you for myself
It's easy, love (hey)
All that math and history
Oh-ooh-oh, oh-ooh-oh
Get those books away from me
Come and see the world
Living it up in Malibu
Living it up in the South of France
Living it up in Mexico
Living it up down in Amsterdam
Living it up in Tokyo
Living it up in Colombia
Living it up in Monaco
Living it up in Shangri-La
(Hey) Somebody get me out of here
I've got a new plan for you, dear
Come away with me (hey)
Why do you get so heady, love?
Hurry because I'm heading off
It's late, you see (hey)
Physics and biology
It don't mean that much to me
Oh-ooh-oh, oh-ooh-oh
Get those books away from me
Come and see the world
Living it up in Malibu
Living it up in the South of France
Living it up in Mexico
Living it up down in Amsterdam (hey)
Living it up in Tokyo
Living it up in Colombia
Living it up in Monaco
Living it up in Shangri-La (hey)
Living it up in Malibu (math and history)
Living it up in the South of France (don't show the world)
Living it up in Mexico
Living it up down in Amsterdam (hey)
Living it up in Tokyo (books and pictures)
Living it up in Colombia (don't describe us, girl)

The lyrics of Benny Sings's song "The World in 2" convey a message about living life to the fullest and experiencing different places and cultures. The song opens with the singer urging someone to join them and explore the world together, emphasizing that there is no better way to see the world than with their love. They express a desire to have the person all to themselves, away from the distractions of books and responsibilities.
The chorus highlights various luxurious locations around the world where they envision living it up. From Malibu to the South of France, Mexico to Amsterdam, Tokyo to Colombia, Monaco to Shangri-La, the singer fantasizes about experiencing the excitement and beauty of these places. It is a carefree and adventurous mindset, seeking to escape the mundane and embrace the unknown.
In the second verse, the singer tries to convince their love interest to seize the opportunity and join them on this adventure. They challenge the importance of subjects like physics and biology, suggesting that these academic pursuits do not hold much significance compared to the allure of exploring the world. They mention that it is getting late and time is running out, emphasizing the urgency to embark on this journey together.
Overall, the song celebrates the idea of breaking free from the constraints of routine, embracing spontaneity, and seeking new experiences in different parts of the world. It encourages living in the moment, away from the pressures of education and societal expectations, and embracing a life of luxury and adventure.

Can't really explain it but I LOVE the "hey!" sample used in this song (usually after Shangri La). The way it's trimmed reminds me of when they would occasionally sample voices in cartridge era video games where memory was an absolute premium. Great song, great album! I expect no less from the almighty Benny! So glad that Fantastic Plastic Machine introduced you to me all those years ago, you've been making bangers ever since the first album of yours I heard (Benny... At Home). Thank you continuing to bring so much joy to my life!
