Iér ghìe vinte fretole, incö i è doma dès
Salte sö piö, salte sö piö a schisà a canestro,
Up and down, mè ca to sa üset
Up and down, só zamò üsàt!
Lè sèmper issé, innàcc e ndré
Mè fala ndà bé töcc i dé
Up and down
Quando ma metìe lé a cüntà i àlber de Nedàl
E grant a ghìe mia frèssa de dientàl
A só piö ü matèl, ma só amò chèl

E dopo l bröt tép l vé amò bèl
Up and down...

Overall Meaning

The song "Up & Down" by Bepi & the Prismas is sung in a Venetian dialect, and its lyrics are not easily understandable to those who do not speak the language. The song talks about various experiences in life and how everything has its ups and downs. The first verse talks about how the singer went to a party and had some drinks, but when he got home, he felt a bit down. He talks about how beauty is relative and how he is not as bad as he thinks he is. He then talks about his basketball skills and how he can jump higher nowadays.

In the second verse, the singer talks about how he likes himself more when he was ignorant and less smart. He talks about how he met people before and found out they were not as good as he thought they were. He goes on to say that music is better than television, and negativity always surrounds him. The final lines of the song are about how no matter what happens, they will always have their ups and downs in life.
