Consequence
Betrayed Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You’re running, run from mistakes in the past
Went down a dead end street and got no where fast
Pushing, and it never ends
And now the walls are closing in

You ignored all the signs and now its wrecking your life
Well that’s consequence
What you do has finally run you through
Well that’s consequence for you

You’re hurting, yes you’re hurting inside
And by hiding from the pain you’ve lost control of your life
Problems growing, but you’ll never change
And now the walls are closing in

If I told you once, I told you a thousand times...

Overall Meaning

In "Consequence," Betrayed sings about the consequences of making mistakes and ignoring warning signs. The lyrics emphasize the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions and facing the consequences, rather than trying to run away from the past. The metaphor of the walls closing in represents the feeling of being trapped by the consequences of one's actions.

The lyrics also speak to the internal struggle of trying to avoid pain and problems, yet ultimately losing control of one's life. The repetition of the phrase "well that's consequence for you" drives home the message that we must take responsibility for our actions and face the repercussions.

Overall, Betrayed's "Consequence" is a powerful reminder that we must face the consequences of our actions and that trying to run away or hide from our problems will only lead to more pain and suffering.

The thing is that's not really fair because its not explained anywhere.

You can flat out fail missions by going off the beaten path.

The game should at least indicate that alternatives are possible they dont need to be bullet pointed as
A
B
C
Options but the objective should at least be vague enough to indicate that you can innovate

V selling out Panam to Saul is kind of hilarious in retrospect; for all of the warnings that both V and Saul give about the plan being dangerous, stealing the Panzer is one of the few scenarios in the game where a character does something drastic that ACTUALLY works out really well and without heavy casualties.

I mean, it's the battle hardened veterans who support Panam, probably because they're not cowards.
Also, I'm tired of people equating apathy with rationality.
