My husband chose this song for our wedding. We were together 10 years, had 2 babies and a 9 month separation in the 10 years before we got married. I never understood at the time why he wanted this song so bad. He passed away on March 27th 2023 very unexpectedly. Massive heart attack at 40 leaving behind me, 19 and 18 year old high school seniors, an 8 year old and a 6 year old. We married in 2013 but we'd been together over 20 years. As I was going through photos for his slide show, I noticed how he looked at me in nearly every picture. He'd smile and look towards the camera when he knew his photo was being taken. If he didn't realize it, he was looking at me like I was the only girl in the world. We loved each other so much. Knowing how much that man loved me is what gets me through for our kids. When you meet the person out there that loves you that much, don't ever take it for granted ❤

My Dad passed away when I was 13. Shortly after I got really sick and was in the hospital. My Mom and I sang this song together. The song remained our song over the years, and is such a bright spot. This is my moms and stepdads song when they got married, he was the dad I never had and he treated me like blood even though we were not related at all.
