Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé began performing in local competitions at age 7, eventually forming the group Girl's Tyme in 1990 with help from her parents. Girl's Tyme became Destiny's Child in 1997.
During the hiatus of Destiny's Child in 2003, Beyoncé released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, which became one of the most successful albums of that year, and signaled her viability as a solo artist. The disbanding of Destiny's Child in 2005 facilitated her continued success: her sophomore solo album B'Day, released in 2006, debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. Her third solo album, I Am… Sasha Fierce, was released in November 2008, and in 2009 she received 10 Grammy Awards nominations. On January 31, 2010, she won 6 Grammy Awards, breaking the record for most Grammy awards won by a female artist in one night; she previously held the record of five awards with 5 other artists. Following a career hiatus, Beyoncé released her fourth studio album entitled "4" on June 24, 2011, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200.

You called, I can't hear a thing
I have got no service
In the club, you see, see
Wha-wha-what did you say?
Oh, you're breaking up on me
Sorry, I cannot hear you
I'm kinda busy
K-kinda busy
K-kinda busy
Sorry, I cannot hear you
I'm kinda busy
Just a second
It's my favorite song they're gonna play
And I cannot text you with
A drink in my hand, eh
You shoulda made some plans with me
You knew that I was free
And now you won't stop calling me
I'm kinda busy
Stop callin', stop callin'
I don't wanna think any more
I left my head and heart on the dance floor
Stop callin', stop callin'
I don't wanna talk anymore
I got my head and my heart on the dance floor
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
I'm busy, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Call all you want, but there's no one home
And you're not gonna reach my telephone
Out in the club, and I'm sippin' that bub
And you're not gonna reach my telephone
Call all you want, but there's no one home
And you're not gonna reach my telephone
Out in the club, and I'm sippin' that bub
And you're not gonna reach my telephone
Boy, the way you blowin' up my phone
Won't make me leave no faster
Put my coat on faster
Leave my girls no faster
I shoulda left my phone at home
'Cause this is a disaster
Callin' like a collector
Sorry, I cannot answer
Not that I don't like you
I'm just at a party
And I am sick and tired
Of my phone ringin'
Sometimes I feel like
I live in Grand Central Station
Tonight I'm not takin' no calls
'Cause I'll be dancin'
'Cause I'll be dancin'
'Cause I'll be dancin'
Tonight I'm not takin' no calls
'Cause I'll be dancin'
Stop callin', stop callin'
I don't wanna think any more
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor
Stop callin', stop callin'
I don't wanna talk any more
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor
Stop callin', stop callin'
I don't wanna think any more
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor
Stop callin', stop callin'
I don't wanna talk any more
I left my head and my heart on the dance floor
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh
Stop telephonin' me
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh

The song "Telephone" by Lady Gaga ft. Beyoncé is a tale of a busy woman who just wants to have a good time dancing in the club without any distractions from her phone. The lyrics talk about how the person on the other end of the phone keeps calling her and interrupting her night, even when she tells them that she is too busy to talk. She wants them to stop calling her and leave her alone so she can dance without any worries. The chorus of the song emphasizes this point, with Lady Gaga singing: "Stop telephonin' me, I'm busy".
The verses of the song alternate between Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, with Beyoncé singing the bridge of the song. The bridge is a spoken-word voicemail message that the person on the other end of the phone leaves for Lady Gaga; it serves as a warning for her to pick up the phone and listen to what they have to say. However, Lady Gaga is determined not to let anything interrupt her night, as she is out in the club, sipping on a drink and enjoying herself.
Overall, the song is a catchy and upbeat anthem for anyone who has ever been annoyed by their phone constantly ringing or buzzing when they just want to have some fun. It encourages listeners to take control of their own lives and do what makes them happy, without worrying about what others may think or say.

I knew it was iconic the day the song came out. I was a young teen back then but had been a massive Gaga fan since Just Dance (still am today and almost 30).
Ever since she released her debuts, I always knew there was something special about her. Then... the day I saw she had collabed with Beyoncé, that's when I officially knew Gaga "had made it!"
Back then, there were a lot of one hit wonders (don't even get me started about the 90s lol 😅), and if you didn't prove yourself as 'more' that was all you were. I was soooo happy for gaga when she released this.
Likewise with "Videophone" with Beyoncé..
I'll always be a Litttle Monster. LOVE Gaga!
