True Story
Beyond All Recognition Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Bleeding fingers and broken bones
Drunk as hell, in the streets we groan,
Let me tell you about the place
It’s a place with memories
Now listen

This is where it happens
This is where we want to be
This is where we party
This is where you stand with me

This is our place
This is our sanctum
This is our fight
This is our night

Fucked up livers but still alright
Suffocating, we puked all night
Liquors out, sadly we cry
The smokes are out
We are ready to fly

This is where it happens
This is where we want to be
This is where we party
This is where you stand with me

This is our place
This is our sanctum

This is our fight
This is our night

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Beyond All Recognition's song "True Story" heavily revolve around the idea of a place where people can come together to forget their problems and just enjoy themselves. It's a place where people can be free from judgment and truly be themselves. The song begins with a description of a very wild and chaotic place where people are injured and drunk, but the singer still wants to share with the listener about it, believing it to be a place filled with memories. The core idea of the song is that this is the place where the singer and the listener belong; where they can party, and stand together, free of the constraints that society places on them.

The lyrics describe a place that is very much reminiscent of a club or party scene, with heavy emphasis on the music and the atmosphere. However, it's not just a physical place, but an emotional one as well. The lyrics speak to a sense of community and belonging that can be found when people come together and forget about their problems. It's a reminder that even though life can be tough, there is always a place where you can truly feel like you belong.

Overall, "True Story" is a song about finding a sense of belonging and community in the midst of difficult times. It's about recognizing that sometimes the best way to move forward is to forget your problems for a little while and just have fun with those around you.

Music is made to give a feeling. This band gives me a feeling of completion. Say what you want about this band, but I party hard and I drink my beer strong and they do everything I do. If you hate this band, then move on. Napalm is amazing. Adding this band this band to their records just made it even better. I am excited for September 28th so I can have this album in my hands and laugh at the haters as I head bang and enjoy my life of this beautiful creation that is dubcore.
