Bregoli appeared on the television series Dr. Phil in September 2016 to discuss her bad behavior, which went viral in January 2017. During the episode, she used the phrase "Catch me outside, how about that?" (often transliterated as "Cash Me Ousside How Bout Dah"), which later became a viral video and meme. According to Danielle's mother, the phrase means she’ll go outside and do what she has to do (she threatened to fight the audience, telling them to "cash her ousside").
Bregoli released her first single "These Heaux" (pronounced "these hoes") on August 26, 2017. The recording reached number 77 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Bregoli the youngest female rap artist to debut on the music chart. The success of "These Heaux" prompted Atlantic Records to sign Bregoli to a multi-album recording contract. In September 2017, she remixed the Kodak Black song "Roll In Peace" and Tee Grizzley and Lil Yachty song "From the D to the A". On September 22, 2017, she released "Hi Bich" and a day after, "Whachu Know", as a single alongside the music video, which received over a million views in 24 hours.

I know you gon' be the one that's gon' hold me down
When it's time to put in work you know I'm always 'round
Tote that Glock, hold that work, baby, do you trust me?
Got the streets in a lock, I'ma make you love me
Baby, do you trust me? Do you trust me?
Baby, do you trust me? Baby, do you trust me?
I'ma make you love me, baby, do you trust me?
Come in close and hug me, tell that hoe don't test me
I don't play 'bout mines, watch this shit get messy
Tote that Glock, hide it in my spot
Bitch, stop playing, I'ma leave you hot
Rubber bands wrapped around these knots
Bitch, stop playing, watch me kill the parking lot
I know you gon' be the one that's gon' hold me down
When it's time to put in work you know I'm always 'round
Tote that Glock, hold that work, baby, do you trust me?
Got the streets in a lock, I'ma make you love me
Baby, do you trust me? Do you trust me?
Baby, do you trust me? Baby, do you trust me?
Got the streets in a lock, I'ma make you love me
Tote that Glock, lil' homie, get yo guap
You my son, lil' nigga, I'm yo pops
I'm on top, lil' bitch, gimme props
Talkin' charts, lil' baby, play yo part, lil' baby
I'm the boy, yeah, baby, I'm the one
I'ma make you trust me, always keep it hundun
Bust down Rollie face, I been getting money face
Diamonds do the Diddy dance
These the new Givenchy pants
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, VS while my diamonds hit
New Chanel, you deserve all of it
I put you in charge
Baby, you a star, I buy you the mall
I put you on a jet, you said I do the most
I told you no more coach, yeah
Said you don't care 'bout things
You said you down for me
I told 'em you my queen
I know you gon' be the one that's gon' hold me down
When it's time to put in work you know I'm always 'round
Tote that Glock, hold that work, baby, do you trust me?
Got the streets in a lock, I'ma make you love me
Baby, do you trust me? Do you trust me?
Baby, do you trust me? Baby, do you trust me?
Got the streets in a lock, I'ma make you love me
Baby, do you trust me? Do you trust me?
Baby, do you trust me? Baby, do you trust me?
Got the streets in a lock, I'ma make you love me
In "Trust Me," Bhad Bhabie speaks to a lover, attempting to persuade them into trusting her completely. She references the streets, and holding down her partner, and being always available when it comes time to work. She tells her partner to trust her, as she has the whole street locked down, and she will make them love her. She wants to be close to her partner, and wants the other women to stay away, neither testing her nor causing problems for her. Bhad Bhabie is committed to her work and does not mess around, and she wants her partner to support and trust her in everything she does. The song also includes features by Tory Lanez and Ty Dolla $ign, who add their distinctive voices to the song.
