La banda, nacida en el año 2001, editó su primer EP "Deslízate naranja" en abril de 2003. En marzo de 2005 lanzó "Discover", que contiene versiones de Rolling Stones, Miss Kittin, Chemical Brothers y Duran Duran, entre otros. Por último, en noviembre de 2005 aparece "Ojos", que se adelanta al actual larga duración con la inclusión del tema que le da nombre, más otras tres canciones que experimentan el rock, el space blues y el electro; contiene además una versión de "Oye niño", de Miguel Abuelo. Ese mismo año participan con un tema inédito en el compilado "Nuevo 1.0" del Ciclo Nuevo del Centro Cultural Gral. San Martín.
Desde junio de 2002 Bicicletas se presenta en escenarios porteños siendo el año 2007 el de mayor difusión.
