As someone who is in his 50s and watched What’s Happening in prime time in the 70s and again in the 80s in first run syndication, it is so good to see that Mr. Thomas is alive and kicking, looking good, healthy, and drug free. An excellent, very thought provoking, and entertaining interview. I had no idea of Mr. Thomas’ friendship with Ali and all his personal demons. He has had an interesting life and I am glad that he is still working. His work was and has been responsible for a lot of good, funny, memories. Stay safe and continued success.

This interview was so refreshing and HONEST. You don't always hear honest backstories from celebrities, and he held NOTHING back. Continued success Ernest. (Also, I loved your sitcom work, but the character you played in Malcolm X was incredible, award worthy). And although I disagree with the sneezing thing, I get your point.

Just watched Malcolm X last night,that movie was so deep now that I've watched it as an adult!When it was released I was a little kid& hadn't travelled to the U.S yet so didn't get the point of the movie.The Malcolm X/Nation Of Islam movement was ahead of its time,I wish Africans&African Americans could unite& restart such a powerful movement again in 2021✊🏾.
